can't get it right all the time. But most of the folks in those encampments (at least at many schools) were not even students. There was an extremely high percentage of all-purpose protesters among the campers.

My opinion is if you are doing DEI as a PR/Marketing ploy to sanctimoniously promote yourself... just go ahead, and fire that team and save the money for other capital investments in products, bonus incentives, or infrastructure improvements. HOWEVER... there is extensive research done that proves over and over again that diverse teams are more productive. Let me get this straight... you are a CEO of a global organization, and you don't have any sort of understanding that actually it's a good thing for your business??? I've met exactly zero C level leaders in global organizations that don't have some sort of mandate for diverse backgrounds, and skillsets with the exception of mom and pop companies who just lucked into some sort of widget they build and sell that has a monopoly on their local market. In that case yeah you can get away with your sons, and buddies you grew up with being the only leaders in the company. In the real world... that's just not the way that successful businesses operate.

Nobody here us suggesting a sterile all white male environment is best. Nobody. That is not the discussion and never was. Stop interjecting strawman arguments. It's all about organizations using DEI as a means to justify meeting quotas for certain classes that are not suited for the job.
