Do we even know the politics of the person that attempted to assassinate former (and future) President Trump? I would expect that the person was a far left ANTIFA type because they tend to want anarchy and dislike the former President. However - so far there is no real evidence of that. In fact, if anything - this appears to be another situation where a mentally unstable person had easy access to guns and used them to kill one person and almost kill another. I get trying to get the narrative out there - but it seems premature at this point.

Also, I didn't join the military thinking of it as a career trainer. I expected the gi bill after my service to be my career trainer. There is no enlisted mos in the military equivalent in terms of training that of a bachelors in mechanical engineering. What's interesting is that everyone of course rushes to see which 'side' the shooter was on, and of course Republican politicians and right wing grifters with X and youtube followers jumped on the chance to try and throw more gas on the fire, but the reality may be simply the thing they don't like to talk about: An unstable person with easy access to a dangerous weapon in a country where there's enough guns for every man, woman, child and dog several times over.

It is POSSIBLE that is the case, but so far - after over 24 hours time - there is very little evidence of that being the case.
Just my opinion, but I think that if Biden was speaking Saturday this would have been attempted on him. It would have never got to this point because SS's perimeter is probably much wider that the one that was in place for Trump. But this was a local dude with a gun, an opportunity, and mental issues. This is not a Republican or Democrat specified target. But this WILL be a rally cry for the Trump folks. Trump is now Chuck Norris and they perceive Biden as an empty vessel

It is illegal to try and assassinate a former President. That fella in Pennsylvania found that out the hard way. Now - we can discuss whether the SS or local police were negligent, and likely can even have a full blow investigation of it.... that is a different issue.
still TBD I don’t discount that Trump could’ve been simply a case of opportunity…not like he had to travel far to get to him maybe he was mentally ill and filled with anger and decided to go out in a blaze by killing a former president…maybe he thought he could incite the Civil War many people dream about…who knows we just had that one dude from Arizona arrested 2 or 3 weeks ago because he was planning to shoot up a concert in Georgia and wanted to start a race war the people who do stuff like this aren’t rational
You got it - I would add in that there is a lot of fighting over who is at fault for the assassination attempt.... the Democrats or was it someone with mental illness or some far right extremist. You would think there would be some discussion of gun control, but I digress. Regardless, this is without question the absolute worst I have seen politically in my life time...... look no further than the candidates, Weekend and Bernie's and The Convicted Felon.
