Well, to some extent Draymond was a point big. Not saying Alpi is like Draymond (Alpi has a better character, more hops and is much more skilled offensively), but the passing is similar.

Jalen Green shot 52.6% from 3 during his Summer League.

Yes, rarely are players on the court (in SL) looking for a key mismatch and calling for the ball.

The teammates are like, screw that, I've got my own mismatch here. I'm about to BBQ' him and
impress some team watching. I got to get mine.

Having said that, it was obvious every time Sheppard was with an opponent near the baseline, a
teammate tapped him and pointed switch and take my man instead.

It's sad that before the game coaches had to have instructed that/those switches. Just wait until it's
real opponents instead of scrubs. I felt Kousy (Lakers) outplayed him until the fourth quarter of so.
    Reed just had better outlets.

Kousy would blow by him and Reed kept picking his pockets from behind. Many of those are going to be called rookie fouls vs Morant, Fox, Maxey, Lowry, CP3, SGA, etc.

I need to see him against NBA players. I know I can say he won't be a bust like Jimmer because
players a lighter nowadays. But I will eat crow if I think he can be a starter some day.
    By mid Dec. I'll know.

Looking at his Summer League play I was like "omg, I think we may have a John Stockton lite" then I think it was maybe Lance Zierlien that used Mark Price as a comp and that seems way more appropriate, but also pretty damn exciting. Cavs era Mark Price was a menace.

Pre knee injury Cp3 may be the real comp that people aren’t ready for.

You don't seriously think Jalen will be a better 3 PT shooter in the NBA than Sheppard do you?

How about those other summer league stats?
Looking at Jalen's rookie year summer league compared to Sheppard my bet on the best overall player in the NBA will be Reed.

Jalen 2 assists per game / Reed 6
Jalen 0.3 steals per game / Reed 3
Jalen 0 blocks per game / Reed 2
Jalen 4.3 rebounds per / game Reed 5

I feel safe in saying Reed will be on this team for the next decade plus like Alpi. There is a good chance this will be Green's last season.

I think the difference between Sheppard (and Jabari to some extent) shooting well in the summer league and those flash in the pan performances is that he has been a good shooter all the way since high school. Those other guys weren't known for being good shooters before turning pro.

CP3 pre 2010 knee injury was on his way to being a top 7 NBA player of all time at least. Insane comp I doubt anyone lives up to.

Hard to come up with another combination of shooting, passing and defensive playmaking.

Paul had maybe the best handle of all time, Reed looks competent in that regard but I'd need to see it against a real NBA defense, his shorter wingspan doesn't help him either.

If he's an MVP caliber player at 22 like Paul was, I'll be beyond ecstatic. But it's an insane expectation to put on anyone.
