I hope so, too. But, given personal experience with narcissists who have been the victims of violence, I'm not optimistic. Surviving violence only feeds a narcissist's sense of grandiosity and adds to their self mythologizing.
This isn't surprising and was expected after Thomas gave her the opening to do this in his lone concurring opinion that granted immunity to the POTUS. Everyone knows Trump mishandled classified material and he won't be held accountable thanks to her and Thomas. At least she ruled on this fairly quickly after Thomas's opinion. I will say something controversial. I think Trump being shot is the clincher for the Dems giving Biden the boot. The Republican base just got a huge shot in the arm (pardon my pun). The Dems need something big. The only thing they can do, in my opinion, is change candidates. I've said it before, and I'll say it again - if they had a person that was under 55 with even half the charisma as Obama, this thing would be a landslide. Instead, they seem content to stand pat and concede their loss.
It looks like its going to be JD Vance and I'm 100% against it. I want Marco Rubio, Tim Scott, Vivek or Byron Donald's.... I'm hoping Trump does not piss me off..
