Hollinger never misses an opportunity to get a dig in at the Rockets. @Salvy is John Hollinger the neighbor you making pay for the fence?

Reed had a rough shooting night from 3P land (1 for 5) and still turned in 22, 7, 6, and 5 steals on an efficient 9 for 15 shooting. I think we got a good one, my friends

    (Cam ain't half bad either)

Really enjoyed being at Thomas & Mac tonight. Much better than Friday. Way less crowded; had great seats to watch our squad. A couple of thoughts from the game:

Orlando Robinson - second night he’s outplayed Dante. He was the big surprise to me. He’s a little undersized for a big, but he was defending so well, coming out to the perimeter and defending, defending inside, defending quicker players, and doing that so well. Loved his finishing inside. Liked his rebounding. He’s not a rim protector but seems to have a very good all around game. If he keeps playing like this he should get a strong look for that last 2-way.

AJ Griffin - played better tonight. His shot was still not falling but he played better defensively and passed the ball. He got better as the game went on. But I think he’s gonna ride the pine this yr as salary for trade.

Sheppard should have had at least 3 more assists if his teammates could finish. I’m sold. Showed a lot of playmaking tonight. Also forced a bunch of turnovers and competed on D. He’s going to be alright there.

They will need to shut Cam down now. It was like watching a man among boys. He didn’t shoot well again but made an impact in every other part of the game. Finishing inside, passing the ball, rebounding, forcing turnovers. Boss.

    This should read:

"Hawks fans -- if you were worried about Reed Sheppard being better than Zaccharie Risacher, ummmm .... feel free to stay on that train."

Nothing new, they are regretting every draft :D. They passed on Luka, and now reed.

Huh, an "energy" big with no motor selected #2 overall. Wonder where I've seen that before.

I know it has only been two summer league games but do any of you Reed doubters want to recant now or do you still say he is too short for NBA? He won't be able to play defense of bring the ball up...

    Serious question.

    So lemme get this straight:

6-1 ft Sheppard got 6 rebounds
7-0 ft Sarr got 4 rebounds
    ???

I am starting to think that drafting on physical traits alone may not be the best strategy...

For once, we got the lucky break. Two bad franchises took significant risks over the sure thing in Reed Sheppard. Stone needs to be taking calls on Jalen, he's not going to handle Whitmore and Sheppard getting his minutes well.

I feel bad for Trae Young. Objectively, he's a home run at #5 overall, but he'll always be remembered for being traded for the best player in that draft.

yes, that's the issue with Green. In a vacuum I wouldn't trade him, and long-term he may be a decent 6th man, off-the-bench scoring boost...
However, the guy has an inflated sense of himself, and will only create problems, IMO

This IG post the other day is probably a sign of what's going behind the scenes... Rox probably made an offer on extension and he felt "disrespected"....
