His refusal to accept the election and him inciting the riot. No president's policies are set in stone, I don't agree with most Republicans but we have checks and balances. He is just dangerously egomaniacal
Returned last night from being off grid, backpacking, to this news. 1. So glad this attempt failed, no matter how many negative things I have said of Mr. Trump. 2. Also wondering how this kid got that clean a look. Seems like very sloppy S.S. work, but what do I know. 3. BBC (not surprisingly) has some of the best and least-biased early coverage, so far as I can tell. Here's their diagram of the shooting layout. (spoilered for size, and b/c probably already posted) Spoiler 4. I am very sad that this attempt happened. In terms of all the poo-flinging and the blame game, "who you gonna blame, for the hate that hate made?" Plenty of blame to go around in that respect. 5. Possible that it leads both extreme camps to tone down their apocalyptic rhetoric? I doubt it, but we can hope. You could also wonder if such an event could change Mr. Trump, but the guy seems completely unchangeable. 6. The nation has survived several swells of political violence like this before, and we shouldn't automatically predict doom. Nor should we take it lightly. 7. Very informative to see some of his advocates respond to this as some kind of proof of his great leadership and qualities. I don't mean that judgmentally, but just a helpful (for me at least) observation. That the man defiantly shook his fist after being grazed by a bullet and that this act makes him a great president tells us what some people are looking for: a person who can thrive amid turmoil, chaos, and even violence. I've always said his followers don't care about policies, or words, or speeches, or coherence, but just some fundamental primate qualities of "their guy." Take care, everybody.
Im in relative agreement. People are being very critical of the SS here and perhaps that’s justified with regards to access to that building but yea, if you’re the SS sniper, this is not ‘Nam dude. You don’t know if that dude on the roof is someone properly there like law enforcement or if they are a spectator foolishly trying to get a view of the rally. You don’t want to accidentally kill an innocent. This isn’t a movie. This is real life and situations are usually foggy, confused and things are going very quickly. Very easy for people to sit and play Monday morning QB.
20 years old? Jeez. Makes me fear for the future in regards to what my kids will have to bear... Motive? who knows...at 20 years old what does that immature brain even process? At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if this is some sort of crazy Jodie Foster type fan, a guy who hated trump, a guy who wanted a civil war, some stupid manifesto, wants to be famous, etc. Just a sad state of affairs.
They’re not only dumb as hell but always projecting an air of moral superiority to everyone. What they do best is to gaslight you
How was the guy on the roof to begin with?? Witnesses saw him up there and told SS and they did nothing.
I thought he was being hit by shard of glass per your earlier post? Come on man, you clowns prove it to us on a daily basis that you can spew all sorts of garbage and never own up to your feces.
Probably a blown assignment from 1 or 2 local officers. Apparently there were officers inside building. Practically speaking thats all something like this takes. One unclear or misunderstood instruction or one blown assignment opening a window for something like this.
trump is very much a threat to our democracy. this assassination attempt doesnt change that. ill point out again that you made fun of paul pelosi after almost being killed in his own home and you accused him of being gay.
from 2016... https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/trump-campaign-defends-2nd-amendment-comment-n626601 Trump 'Second Amendment' Comment Seen as Veiled Threat Against Clinton Donald Trump’s campaign defended the GOP presidential nominee’s suggestion that 2nd Amendment supporters could 'stop' Hillary Clinton. "Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish the Second Amendment,” Trump said during a rally in North Carolina on Tuesday. "By the way, and if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don't know."
Trump is a threat to democracy in America. Question people have to ask is why are Americans so divided? Why are there only two so damn weak options. I think if you look for the root of this you will truly understand. But the media and people in power don't want you thinking like this...they want you guys to think along party lines so you remain controlled. People are generally either misinformed, programmed, or not knowledgeable enough therefore they fall in line of their group think. Wish people would wake up from this mass control mechanism.
How so? I hear this over and over and over and nobody has a LEGITIMATE answer. Somehow a man seeking to be democratically elected through voting is a threat to the system. I don't want to hear J6 ...those idiots are in jail and guess what, Biden was still inaugurated. Trump told them to stay peaceful and the liberal social media gatekeepers took that post down and then banned him from the platform. Meanwhile liberal leaders can encourage protests that destroy property and hurt people. I don't want to hear about election challenges....Hilary called into question the 2016 results and continued to do so for YEARS. Al Gore demanded a recount before conceding. Trump went through judicial processes to investigate the election and then it was over and life went on. That doesn't sound like threatening democracy to me. Am I living in an alternate reality where Biden hadn't served as President the last 3.5 years? The people that talk like that are full of crap and low information. It's exaggerative and low IQ statements like that which lead to morons attempting murder "for the sake of democracy" Get freaking real.
