The NYT supposedly caught the shooting on camera. Crazy if true. Such a sad day, but not unexpected. This feels like the new normal. I saw one comment that felt too true; "no matter the shooter's background his motives are going to be completely incomprehensible". The dummies who say this was a psy-op need to be put into the same dustbin as the Alex Jones types. The election is now effectively over, so at least we can all tune out now.
My father-in-law joined the Secret Service after that big hiring push they had post-Reagan's assassination attempt. He was on Presidential detail during Daddy Bush. Probably knows your buddy.

If this guy would have had a 100 year old 30.06 bolt action Trump would be dead. the suppressed single shot that killed the shooter was from a bolt action. AR rifles are not as lethal as real rifles, proof.

Yes, DEI sucks, but it has ****all to do with what happened last night. Constantly bringing it up is obnoxious at best and stupid at worst (as in this case).
Bringing it up in the context of the bridge was racist, in my opinion. The Mayor got elected, fair and square. Has nothing to do with DEI. Bringing it up in the context of the Secret Service not doing a good job is legitimate. Once people get chosen based on quotas rather than performance, you will get worse results. That's a fair point.
There is absolutely NO REASON Kimberly is head of the Secret Service except for DEI and you know it. There are hundreds of people of both sexes who would be more qualified to head up a Security agency.
What I would like to understand is why the Secret Service sniper waited to take out the shooter until after the shooter got his shots off. They had eyes on him for minutes already.
