That's because Trump failed in the attempt lol. Hey, with this logic, the shooter today didn't do anything wrong since he too failed in his attempt, right?
Why hold free and fair elections in 2018 and 2020 in the first place if you're a Hitlerite dictator? Weird.
What part of "He tried to overturn the 2020 Election" are you not getting here? Free and fair elections were held in 2020...he says no, he lost, and tried to overturn that election. FURTHERMORE: He couldn't even commit to saying if the 2024 election will be free and fair lol.
He already had an administration and we had free and fair elections in them. What are you not getting here? You're ignoring my points entirely but I'm suppose to address yours? Neat. Yea, he took his loss in 2020 poorly and then, eventually, ****ed off. Nobody dragged him out of office. He left of his own volition. Trump is running in 2024. I have no reason to believe this won't be a free and fair election and what, exactly, does it matter if he isn't willing to accept the results or not? What's he going to do if he loses? Be big mad?
He lost that election...and then decided to try and overturn it. What point? Your point is terrible, you keep saying "We had elections with Trump in them!" yes, an election he tried to overturn. You are the one ignoring that point. No, he didn't take it poorly. He tried to overturn the election so that he could remain in power. Oh, I have no doubt 2024 will be a fair election. The fear here is that if Trump gets power again he will not let it go, the fear is validated due to the fact that he tried to overturn the 2020 results so that he would remain in power.
We also had the 2018 midterms where Republicans lost 41 seats in the House and it was allowed to be effectuated. Why didn't dictator Trump stop that? Weird. Be afraid all you want. Trump will be term limited if he wins again. The idea he won't leave office after being term limited is just TDS fantasy.
I don't believe people like you really believe the American Republic is going to end if Trump is reelected. It's just hyperbolic rhetorical nonsense.
Because Trump DGAF about the GOP, he'd burn it all down if it meant him keeping power. Since he was still president he didn't care. That's why. It's a valid concern to have seeing that no president in US history tried to overturn a presidential election before. You say its 'TDS Fantasy' and yet many actual conservatives, the ones that actually are terrified of an executive having too much power, the ones who ACTUALLY believe in their ideals, all have these same fears.
Last thing on this tonight. I don't think Trump will remain in power after 2028 (if he is elected), I think our system will hold...that does not mean that I should be eager at giving him a chance at doing so. This man who praises dictators left and right, who says he'll be one, and again who tried to overturn the 2020 election...I don't understand giving him another shot. Would you give the attempted assassin another shot at Trump? My guess is no. Usually, when people attempt horrible things it makes people more cautious around them. I wouldn't leave a man known at watching child p*rn around children...and I wouldn't give a man who fantasizes about being a dictator the presidential office.
I'm not asking anyone to be eager. I just don't believe a second Trump term will end our Republic. I think Trump is an impetuous man-child who hates losing and is probably prone to believe conspiracy theories that tell him what he wants to hear (he actually won) and will make a big deal about elections being stolen and whine and complain but at the end of the day, will **** off, just like he did in 2020. Nobody dragged him out office. He left. He's term limited in 2028. I don't think he's going to try and do something to remain in office past the end of his second term.
Except he tried to not. You fail to mention his fake electorate program. His committing to violence on our Capitol. Failure to transition power properly. He is a commie dictator, and so are all his laughable commie cultists.
Does this near-tragedy negate his 34 guilty verdicts, threat to democracy, or ability to tell the truth?
This is so amazingly devoid of any level of self-awareness, or an acknowledgement of reality, that I don't really even know what to say at this point.
Apples and oranges. Trump was almost assassinated because the Deep State could break him financially, their lawfare tricks are crumbling and most importantly because the Democratic Party is in chaos, the only way to beat Trump is to kill him. There will be no pandemic to save the Dems this election cycle. You should become friends with the Clinton's and see how that works out for you.
