[Givony & Woo] The Hawks have been unable to bring Alex Sarr in for a workout to this point, but the door remains open for that to potentially happen. Clingan appears to be Risacher's main rival at No. 1.

I think Sarr is Vulcan. Son of Tuvok.

I think a second year in college for Sheppard would clear up a lot of wonders......or a stint for Sarr and Risacher in the G League.....but with Clingan we know he got better and changed the game for his TEAM.........Also wonder why a college basketball championship was not important/attainable to Sheppard?............Does that attitude translate to the NBA?............I would take Sarr/ Risacher before Sheppard before Clingan.....once again Wemby is in our division........a TEAM center even with Adams is going to factor into this rivalry.....not to mention bothering Donic....... for years to come.........I'll wait for a taller shooter besides Sheppard............

But if we take him and he wants to be Mark Price 2.0, then I will take that as well as long as he coaches every other player on the team how to shoot......

    OUCH

Otherwise I'm going BIG........More worried of SA getting Clingan/Wemby vs. Segun/ Smith Jr. than one of our guards not being able to contain Sheppard....namely Amen.......

I am stoked about a 7’2” legit defensive center that can put the ball in the basket. Yet doesn’t clog up the lane.

Sengun is like a point center.

I wonder if the Rockets could pair Clingan and Sengun? If Clingan has the lateral quickness to play PF?

Anybody think it possible? I really want Clingan, but I also really like Sengun.

It will all revolve around how both are willing to defer to one another/acknowledge their strengths and weaknesses when on the court together......... and maybe MOST IMPORTANTLY their acquisition of being an outside threat....

BUT WE KNOW CLINGAN YEARNS FOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

Can the same be said about Sheppard, the other draft picks, and even guys already on this team?.........Take what you know you got.

I'm just not seeing it with Clingan. He seems like a defensive luxury, but he can't shoot, his complete overall game just doesn't seem worthy of a pick that high. I'd like to have him on the roster, any team would, but I can't imagine the Rockets taking him top three. Now there's a lot of smoke about him going number 1 overall. I don't get it. He better be absolutely ELITE defensively.

I can't imagine how distraught CF would be if we saw that airball after watching Reed ball out in a Spurs uni.

I would be distraught if we got a big with the 3rd pick, imagine if we wasted a top 3 lotto for our 4rth backup center lol.

Also people told me Edey would be so much worse than Clingan lmao

Edey looks like he loves hooping.

Clingan looks like a blue collar dork that got really tall and was sort of forced to play basketball. He plays hard and can be effective, but my god there isn’t much feel there. I don’t want to hear Brook Lopez or Andrew Bogut anymore. He is definitely more in the Rudy Gobert mold for good and for bad.

Watching this game between the spurs and blazers, I was more impressed with Clingan. He cant shoot for **** but gis defensive presence inside was evident. He was good at the things his archetype is supposed to be good at.

Castle has some ability, but he really is a bad shooter too. He airballed a wide open pull up middy and had some really bad bricks. He had like 20 shots to get 20 points.

To me he looks like a lesser version of Amen. Maybe a bit better shooting form, but not nearly as athletic and not as good of a passer. I think Amen has a higher bb iq also.

So far my pre draft opinion remains the same that neither are close to the caliber of player Reed is.

Clingan at 7th is actually alright, Blazers probably looking at a slower rebuild than other teams.

As a day 0 Sheppard guy who thought he was by far the best prospect in the draft, I was never on the Clingan wagon, but I did get fooled into thinking Clingan would be the second best player in the draft. He might actually be a big lumbering oaf afterall.
