Trump brought this on himself with how he was willing to support perpetrators of violence. Trump called the white nationalists at Charlottesville "very fine people." He refused to acknowledge the results of the election and called the Jan 6th rioters "patriots." Now Republicans are trying to play victim. If the Democrats had more of a backbone, they wouldn't suspend political ads and remind everyone how Trump had a direct role in escalating the tension we have today. It's not a time for thoughts and prayers. It's a time to let everyone know you reap what you sow. What do you think Trump would do if this happened to Biden?

Yes this is similar to the Allied powers/Soviets propagandizing Europeans on anyone who even spoke German, and painted them as evil. This is why millions of Germans were slaughtered immediately after WWII. Like even if they just spoke it or had a German accent.
