We called it “wall ball” in my middle school and spread eagle was the penalty for not making it to the wall in time which by the way now that I think about it someone wanted to see someone get nailed. We played it before the first bell rang every day…..
What was it...if you fumbled the ball on the rebound you had to go touch the wall before...something? Then you had to stand there while they threw at you? You'll have to forgive my ignorance, it's only been about 40 years
We played. Throw ball against the wall if you touched it (or it touched you) on the way back without catching it you had to touch the wall and were fair game until said wall was touched. If someone pegged you after you touched the wall you got a free shot at them standing in front of the wall w/o them able to move. Memories. . .
So glad everything that could've went wrong, went wrong before the All-Star Break. This team has been the best in baseball since the start of June.
Current Astros vs Eovaldi (137 ABs): .336 .393 .672 1.065 The 5 guys with double-figure ABs against him are all in the lineup. I may have just jinxed us and guaranteed a shutout.
Those BAs are ballin, mayne. MLB ranks 1st* in BA 7th* in Runs Scored 6th* in OPS (.745) 1st* in fewest Ks *Jabreu's futility literally lowered the OPS ~25 points. Dodgers are 1st place (.768). Astros would be literally #1 if Jabreu never existed -- and of course, every other offensive stat would be better. The strikeout stats would be a greater discrepancy from 2nd place. .
