Disney is swinging for the fences with Fantastic Four and is hiring A-List actors (as we've seen). They need to revitalize the MCU brand and know that relatively no-name actors won't cut it.
yet tom cruise remains superhero-less. diznee dunno what they're doing. they're lucky dc is even more r****dded
There's also a rumor he will be Iron Man in the Avengers: Secret Wars movies, which is both a smart move and a fan-service move since he was in the running for the original Iron Man role.
Yeah, I think they’re leaning into the espionage angle, which is what made Cap 2 so great. Casting is good. Marvel trying to get back to gold standard.
Giancarlo’s character is rumored to be GW Bridge https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/George_Washington_Bridge_(Earth-616)
the trailer actually looks pretty good…I like the serious political angle they’re going with…I had long been done with the goofy attempts at comedy and alien beings/multiverse stuff I haven’t seen any Marvel movie or D+ show in ages, but this will probably be the next one I watch
I think this movie will lead into Thunderbolts. Good primer for this and Thunderbolts would be to re-watch Falcon & Winter Soldier. I’m very down with different ‘storylines’ in the MCU like espionage, ‘street level’ stuff like Daredevil and Spider-Man, cosmic stuff like FF/Guardians, X-Men, and Avengers for big events. Keep them separate and compelling while keeping production value high and not over-saturating things.
