He could very well be FVV's replacement if he develops well. Amen's going to need to get them guard skills up if he's going to be the starting PG I think, Reed definitely looks more equipped for the position compared to the last we saw of Amen.

Bronny has no NBA skills and in terms of raw talent he has some bounce but thats it. Maybe he develops into an end of the bench sort of 3 and D guy but even that’s a (major) stretch. The guy is simply not an NBA player.

 

What the hell are you talking about lol you realize Amen playing with NBA players while RS playing with guys hoping to latch onto a roster?

I liked RS's debut but Amen is in the Team USA Select team scrimmaging against Cooper Flagg and a bunch of NBA superstars. It aint even close.

 

It is too early to tell. Lots of guys look like scrubs in their first year of college and then look mich better in succeeding years.

I'd love to see him get backup minutes in Fred's place when he needs a rest. I too think he has the potential to be a great replacement, and will get great mentoring from Fred. Honestly though, I'd like to see him play more than one more summer league game. Let the kid play as much as possible.

 

Yeah and the only time Amen was effective on offense last season was playing the KJ Martin role. That might look like a starting PG to you, it doesn't remotely to me if I'm honest.

 

Amen doesn't need to play PG to contribute on this team as a defensive player. I see no reason he couldn't take Dillon's spot down the road. Reed's passing skills could make him a perfect unselfish and smart PG.

 

Amen would be picked over RS in the draft so we should be building around Amen not RS. RS is a complementary player since he cant break down elite defenses like Amen can.

Amen's generational defense is what puts him over the top as a point guard. His ability to penetrate and create as well as his court vision is what makes him a good pg.

RS makes a good connective passer and complementary player but he shouldnt be the lead pg cuz he cant break down defenses and initiate the offense.

RS can be the pg when Jalen Green is on the court or the sg when Amen is on the court. Either works since both Green and Amen can create and break down defenses and then they would pass to RS who will either shoot if he is open or pass to other guys.

 

In all fairness, they interviewed Reed's dad, and his mother.

 

Reed looked f king great. Cam is a bucket but his energy was a couple levels up which I took more note of. If Reed looked this good with Cam. Imagine with everyone else.

 

Time will tell I guess.
