ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Lakers - Vegas Summer League 7/12/2024

At some point, they will have to realize there is no story following around Bronny. We have an undersized athlete with no jumper and no elte defensive skills. I'd check back after he's played 25 G-league games.

 

I'm really impressed how well adjusted bronny is considering his dad, the lights, and conversation. Normal people would crumble. I pray he is at least a normal nba player.

 

Reed is going to have so many wide open shots in our offense. Ohhhh baby.

 

Reed is as good as advertised. Nate Williams should make the team. By the way, I feel bad for Knecht. He was the best player for the Lakers but those nuts kept talking about Bonny the whole game.

 

Question… do we have the most athletic team in the league?

 

Reed is Curry/CP3 hybrid. Defends like CP3, offense like Curry. Love it.

 

Bro I'm crying! The camera doesn't know who is who in the #1 and #2 pick game! Lol

 

Bronny will be fine. He is too underdeveloped now and should have stayed in college for a year. I think he will play in GLeague and only play on the court during blow outs. Lebron started out having zero range as well he should be able to help his son develop a 3.

I know where I was when the Challenger blew up, the Towers came down, and now when Reed played his first game in the NBA.

 

Im trying to not laugh but you guys are making it HARD!

I feel for that kid. LeBron has put him in a bad spot

 

SL Game 1:

We all saw what Reed did. He can play the PG role on offense. Took him one half to adjust and he killed it in the 3rd quarter. He has great hands but his overall defense is a work in progress.
If he continues excelling, they will probably play him 3 games max.

Cam was a mixed bag. I didn't see any progression in b-ball IQ. His selfish instincts are still there. But it was just the first game.

AJ Griffin won't make the opening day roster. He's nothing more than training camp fodder.

Dante is headed for G-League.

On the Lakers side,

Knecht is legit. He got the cobwebs out in Sacramento and he's in form now.

Bronny is a pathetic joke. Barely a G-Leaguer, if that.

 

In fairness, Reed Sheppard will be around in the league for a decade so plenty of time to get clips from him....Bronny is out of the league the second his dad retires.

 

I was gonna feel bad for Bronny but kid literally has everyone riding his dick, from casual fans to the entire media.

So happy we drafted the right guy and I don’t care how well the first two guys pan out, this feels like we got the best player and shooter in the draft. So glad I did end up staying up for this, but 3.30 am is late enough, see y’all later. Enjoy this moment!
