Reading the few liberal message boards that I follow, and listening to MSNBC for an hour, they are absolutely riding with Biden again after tonight. I expect today will be a good fundraising day for his campaign.
JB lost the main stream straight ticket Democrat voter tonight. If Joe stays in the race, Kennedy could pick up a lot of these liberal votes. This press conference will be viewed as another example of Biden's failure, but I think it will eventually help him. Biden was his typical self in the press conference. Not the greatest communicator and he makes gaffes. But his typical self is clearly competent and can govern, and has done so well. The question from people who want him to step down, myself included, is about his ability to win this election. His electability. The image that he's incompetent and not all there has taken a strong hold, and every gaffe he makes will be highlighted and exploded on social media, reinforcing that image. That's the concern most of us have about his ability to win this election. Because folks do not actually watch but just see clips on social media, they will continue to come to this belief. But as this race continues, and if Biden stays in it, he's more likely to bust that image wide open. Call it low expectation. The impact will not only be weak, there is a good chance that the public would see through it and it could backfire. You lied, he's old and slow, but fine and competent. I watched the full press conference. If you want to hold an honest opinion, go do the same and you might still come to the same conclusion that you are told through tweets. But if you come to that conclusion simply from tweets, you are basing it on garbage inputs.
So when will Americans realize there's more to a democracy than Democrat and Republican? I get it, the system is built for a bi-partisanship, but at some point you have to use your vote to show you don't have any confidence in either. Not in a criminal, narcissistic, corrupt, populist and most of all racist guy on one end and not in a incompetent, senile, hypocritical, two-faced guy on the other. Not to even mention they are both old AF and not fit to lead.
