Posters like him are not very bright. MURICA, BIDENS FAULT. Like @Ziggy said, it's no wonder people like Abbott and Patrick are in power.

Today is my day off, I just sit home let someone who needs to go to the market, or get gas. I did ride my bicycle today around the neighborhood, the number of trees uprooted, or fall is substantial. In all the hurricanes since I've been riding bicycle, this is the first one where I had to take many detours because of fallen trees and a lot of pine cone. I know a lot more people in Sugarland are getting power and a friend around 290/610 just got power. This has been the longest week ever, it is only Thursday.

Good, enough of them move here and we can finally have some meaningful governance that does something for the people. They can start by finally expanding Medicaid so we can stop being the state with the most uninsured.

inexcusable - the line workers are not the decision makers and have about as much control over where they’re working as a theater attendant does over what films are being shown. They deserve nothing but respect.

Centerpoint’s CEO on the other hand….

This makes a lot of sense. They don't call it the "dirty" side for nothing.

The facts are public officials seem less and less prepared for each storm that comes through the area. That is not acceptable at all we have to do better

Most of yall don’t understand meteorology and that’s fine. Having said that, you can’t spend millions and millions preparing for a tropical storm/cat 1 and then nothing happens. If that was the case, everyone would be complaining about how all our tax dollars were spent for a fart in the wind to pay hazard pay to guys standing around.

This is an eye opener to everyone from Centerpoint to the average Joe who wakes up and has no idea what the weather is on any given day.. You know, the guy in shorts when it goes from 70 to 20 on a Tuesday or the guy riding his motorcycle to work and it starts flooding half way there.

The trajectory Beryl took was the absolute worst case scenario and if it had IR to a Cat 4 like Harvey did, and took this track, many wouldn’t have a house anymore.

The continuous whining about how the government should wipe your ass in a catastrophe is sad. These linemen are busting their ass to get the power on after a storm, which nobody, and several pro mets I personally know, could have guessed would be this bad.

I talked to a private equity company today.

The typical introductions. "How are you" - I told them straight up. NOT GREAT. Houston has been getting pounded, etc.

They start to gloat about how well their recent generator company investment has been paying off. Brought up Houston. Unprecedented demand. No ****.

I'm not even mad at them for it. It's a plain sight play. The weather is changing. Disaster recovery, disaster prevention and home repair industries will surge.

Government is stupid. They won't act. Smart money makes money.

Spend the money. Govt spends our money on dumb useless **** all of the time.

Some of yall just want to make excuses, bendover and take it.

Houston Lighting and Power reported that about 750,000 homes were without electricity after Alicia hit. Many stores had to stay closed for days afterward due to risks of falling glass in the area. [13] In Galveston, the western beach had its public beach boundary shifted back about 150 feet. [14]

Tree limbs around power lines should have been taken care of in the winter, definitely before hurricane season.

There's nothing you can do about trees blowing over.

CP Energy seems to have no actual plan for anything.
