Yeah our back up catcher is no where to be found from his slide into home plate. Out!
And our all-star DH is out from his slide into home plate.

"Yordan is still a little sore today but he should be back over the weekend" Right:rolleyes:

Yeah, when the **** is Caratini coming back? Didn't he injure himself like 20 years ago now?

It was Luhnow's nerd cave that came up with the idea that you should very often send runners and be aggressive forcing the defense to make a strong accurate throw, catch the ball, make a tag, and do it all before the runner can touch the plate.

    Everything must go right.

I don't always agree with "the windmill" but I understand the information and instructions he was given.

That philosophy will get runners thrown out occasionally or else you aren't being aggressive enough.

But players getting hurt is on them, not the coach. Players need to know fundamentals and slide correctly.

Out since June 19th. 22 days and counting. Bet he doesn't get sent by Pettis next time.

Pettis is one of the fastest guys in MLB history. Dude could flat out fly in his prime. He probably sends runners thinking he would’ve made it. Just kidding but jeez what a dumb and costly decision to send Yordan.

Yordan should never be sent unless he's standing up, that's on Pettis & staff 100%

Hell I'm not comfortable with Yordan in the outfield with those sus knees he's got

I would have loved to watch him hit a catcher before the rule changes. Take lessons from Pete Rose.

The lineup has "average" written all over it -- 4 runs is likely. Munoz has a 5.50 ERA too.

As long as our pitching surrenders fewer than we score, I'm good.

He hasn't gone since 2018. Doubt he'll ever go again, but I'll still vote for him.

I don't blame him. The Astros are more important. Get your rest.

Why would he go? He's going to get booed by ignorant fans.

But Diaz still in the lineup for most of those starts.

If it keeps him hitting well (less burden), so be it. He's still catching 3.5 out of every 5 starts. No catcher catches every game.

You’re right. I hadn’t thought about that and the Rangers and Astros are in the same league.

Considering how bad Miami's defense has been... it was a good gamble imho
