Democrats are extremely short sighted, they spent all that energy in 2020 slandering Trump and making up lies that when it actually worked they realized they didn't know what they were doing and proceeded to run the entire term on being not Trump. These people can not seem to distance themselves in any way from Trump, Trump rules their brains and everything they do or say in one way or another leads back to the orange man. If they were smart they would be focused on winning elections based off of policy and what American people want and or need. Not based on what hurts Trump or Trump supporters who by the way just so happen to also be voters. 4 years will go by fast and they have left Trump an absolute disaster, play their cards right and maybe Trump can't right the ship. Admitting they were wrong and getting rid of all the people that led them down this path could be a redemption path towards potentially drawing in more votes and even getting conservatives to vote blue if there is a good candidate on board. They have no brains no vision.....

The claim is made that Democrats haven’t kept promises and done nothing yet have passed multiple infrastructure bills, expanded Medicare and lowered prescription drug prices. So instead people are going to vote for the guy who had multiple infrastructure weeks but no bills passed.

Uncle Joe definitely compared to his predecessors has delivered on domestic policy wins. If you are a leftist, you are disappointed in his foreign policy and immigration policy but appreciate his work with the FTC, unions, fighting against corporate monopoly practices etc.
I'm not convinced Project 2025 is the end of democracy. I got a copy online and will skim it. On the surface it appears to mimic what the Heritage Foundation put together for Reagan's transition in 1979. That was also not the end of democracy. But then again I of course have all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.
It would be interesting to test this. Like maybe a comparison of public polling for political positions in the 60s and voting decisions in congress during that time in addressing those opinions vs today. That might be a genuinely interesting study. I would say Reagan's terms were successful in suppressing democracy in certain ways and start its downward trend 9/11 was another touchpoint that accelerated the downward spiral. The most depressing aspect of America's reaction to 9/11 was that Bin Laden achieved his goal from the attack. Our leaders should be shamed in allowing a monster like that to win.
