I think "conspiracy" is the right word. Claiming a large number of people conspired to keep something hidden (Parkison disease or some other neurological disease) from the public is indeed a conspiracy theory. A conspiracy is the actual act of a group secretly planning something harmful or illegal. A conspiracy theory is the belief or claim that such a conspiracy exists. I read a few things this morning, and it seems this idea started with the NYP article. The NYP noted that the WH visitor logs showed that Dr. Cannard, a Parkinson's disease expert, visited the WH 8 times between July 2023 and March 2024. The WH physician, Dr. O'Connor, sent a letter that clarified the WH medical unit serves thousands of patients, including many military personnel with neurological issues due to their service. Dr. Cannard has been part of the team since 2012. He examines the POTUS once a year, and the last exam was on Feb 28, where he wrote: "An extremely detailed neurologic exam was again reassuring in that there were no findings which would be consistent with any cerebellar or other central neurological disorder, such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, nor are there any signs of cervical myelopathy. The president does have peripheral neuropathy in both feet. No motor weakness was detected. He exhibits no tremor, either at rest or with activity." Biden's doctor releases letter on Parkinson's expert's visits (axios.com)
This is a valid statement for most folks, but not for the POTUS. Presidents are always checked medically, and any signs of issues are followed up. He has been diagnosed and cleared.
Fair point, but I want to return to the issue of professions. There are both ethical and moral standards in place. As I mentioned before, while some individuals do break these standards, most professionals adhere to them. (And again, because we're now witnessing one political party disregarding these ethical and moral standards, it's becoming easier to believe everyone behaves that way. They don't... but yes, there's a risk that more people will adopt this behavior as it becomes increasingly acceptable, as it now seems to be for an entire party.)
If you believe anything coming out of this WhiteHouse than have I got a miracle pill for you to take, so you can be a seven footer with game that can lead us back to being champions again.
It just keeps on coming! Couldn’t happen to nicer bunch of clowns. This is what happened when you stole the election and conspired against the American people for them to accept a corpse as their president.
You’re just repeating the talking point of the DEI red headed lesbian which caused a near riot with the WhiteHouse friendly press corp this past Monday. At this point after the debate, nobody is buying the bullshiit anymore. For those of us in the know like myself and others in here, we’ve been saying this for the nearly past 4 years, Biden’s presidency is a sham and a massive con job.
I live in upstate NY. There is a lot of Trump support throughout the state. But Trump or any republican presidential candidate will never have a chance to win this state. The dem votes come from NYC, Buffalo, Albany, Rochester, and Syracuse. the populations of those 5 cities eclipse the rest of the state. That is why Kathy Hochul is somehow in charge here.
Hard to envision the state going for Trump but perhaps some house districts break Republican that may not normally.
That's not from the Press Secretary but from the neurologic doctor who examined Biden. Since it's pretty clear you will reject that too, I will go ahead and provide the response to your projection and end this. Until there is evidence to not trust, I, by default, do believe non-political professionals such as doctors working at the White House. I will repeat again that people who themselves have low moral and ethical standards tend to project that onto others. (DEI and lesbian are labels/talking points often used in a negative way in politics; I don't do talking points or labels.)
My in-laws live in upstate NY, where I visit frequently. The amount of Trump support is hilarious, because it's all either dirt poor farmers or uber rich lake dwellers. Both pro-Trump but for very different reasons. The top of the ticket is in no danger of going red, but down ballot some funky stuff could happen if Biden doesn't step aside.
Don't know about @donny Most, but I live in a little Hamlet called Delmar. Next town over from Albany. Albany is a world class shite hole. I will be back in Texas in 3 years after I retire. Cant wait to see what 400k gets me in Texas after I sell my place. Here it gets me a three bed 2 bath 1500 square foot house with a detached garage.
Finger Lakes are crazy Trump backers. My wife and I rented a cabin in Lake Otisco last year for a week. Trump signs everywhere.
