So the solution is to allow Palestinians to build a military base in an open field. Will Israel allow Palestinians to do this without leveling any construction attempts given that Israel has constant surveillance over Gaza?

Or do Palestinians not have a right to self defense from the IDF?

I don't see how Palestinians are any different than any insurgency group in a urban setting that doesn't have conventional means.

What is your experience with unconventional warfare?

    This is abject bigotry also

@Clutch is there any moderation here or do we need to go to the media and explain how the most popular rockets fan message board is full of bigots that go unmoderated?

What's more sad about the types of bigotry @tallanvor expresses its the most cowardly type of bigotry.

No one here believes he would say "Palestinians are uniquely bad people in history" in front of a bunch of Palestinians having a family dinner and not because of fear of violent push back but rather because now the humanity of Palestinians is right in front of him and he now would magically feel bad saying something like that to just some people having a family dinner because he can now do the most basic level of empathy of attaching a human moment to the term "Palestinian".

The worst kind of bigot. The cowardly bigot.

Uniquely horrible. That's exactly what it is/ There is no other way to describe what the government of Gaza does (Hamas) and the Palestinians that approve of such

palestinians are not building military infastrucure out of self defense. Palestinians are not attacking concerts out of self defense. The little girls they rape and drag through town to molest are not the IDF. Palestinians have been offered their own country plenty of times by isreal. Self defense is not their goal as they are the aggresors always. They need not defend against anything as they could have their own country in a week if they just decided to stop attacking isreal and acknowledge its right to exist.

At a certain point we as people here have engaged these talking points like 100 times in this thread and all it will do is just go back to square one where you just regurgitate the same talking points.

So I'll do the same in response.

You are the worst type of human. The type who's bigoted language disappears the moment you are face to face with a individual you are bigoted towards not because of fear of being physically beaten up but rather not wanting to face your bigotry head on when an empathetic face is attached to it. That's who you are.

Right…people watching their kids and families burned alive, butchered to pieces by bombs or detained without reason for years should just shut the **** up. You sound like a damn nazi

“whY dOnT tHeY jUsT aCcEPT beInG BuTCHErEd…so HoRiBlE ppl!”

the ratio of civilians to combatants killed is higher than even humus.

the school children being bombed are not hummus

neither are the hospital patients, despite a gun being found in a basement somewhere or someone’s aunts cousin’s Plummer having ties at one point of time when they used the bathroom

the world central kitchen workers that gave the IDF a heads up before going in and watched their convoy be blown to pieces weren’t either

You can stretch this all the way back to 1948, which is why it’s insane you try to parrot something that I don’t even believe is propaganda from your point…just pure lies to dehumanize a group of people. We get it you are antisemitic and want to commit genocide against them and for us to give you a pass

Since we’re just repeating what was said I will repeat that Fatah / Palestinian authority recognized Israel’s right to exist 30 years ago and hasn’t gotten much out of it. One reason why Hamas has so much support is the example of the PA whether cooperation with Israel not only hasn’t gotten Palestinians closer to having a viable economy and state but only lead to more Palestinian land taken for settlements.

While Israel left Gaza even during times when Hamas wasn’t attacking Israel still blockaded Gaza and restricted movement in and out of Gaza of people, goods, and capital.

What is the death toll in the West Bank compared to Gaza? Seems like they have gotten a lot out of it.

Hamas gets a lot of support because they are hardline Muslims and their goal is to kill Jews

well of course Israel is going to restrict Gazans from going into Israel. They’re enemies.

there’s not going to be peace. The Arabs tried to take down Israel many times. That’s the whole point of the Yom Kippur war.

plus the Middle East is all about war
    Iraq, Iran, Syria

What I don’t get is how woke people think they have the same liberal values over there, they clearly don’t . The one country that would not mind them is Israel

What I have noticed as I have gotten older is that it is lost on some people that the tactics do not change - just the particular group that is oppressed or is the oppressor.

It is almost like we are all human being and in masse we tend to respond the same - depending on whether we are the subrogator or the subrogated.

This seems to be a hard concept for some people that have strong pre-conceived racial or ethnic notions.

    Agreed!

    Signed,

Small Pox blankets, African slave trade, European Barbarians, Viet Cong and many other examples of terrible things that humans have done and are glossed over.

Hamas gets a lot of support because they oppose Zionism.

The occupation of Palestine, the continued oppression of the Palestinians and the expansion of Israel is why Hamas hasn't been totally flushed from the region.

The policy of the USA and UK is largely responsible for the level of extremism in the Middle East.

I am not a fan of Islam or Islams history - I also do not like its dogmatic approach, but a lot of the issues in the Middle East, especially in places like Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan and Palestine are a result of decisions the USA made.

They are holding American hostages and they held non Jewish hostages like those from Thailand

Palestinian refugees aren’t welcome in Egypt or Jordan
Egypt didn’t like the Muslim brotherhood and Egypt is a Muslim country

These radical groups don’t serve a purpose except for violence

    I disagree.

Some groups of people think systematic rape, sexual assault and enslavement are permissible actions.

Some groups of people codify and proscribe such actions and they only occur in violation of those prescripts or in extreme situations.

We aren't all the same. That's nonsense.

Now, this could devolve into a lot of whataboutism but I think to people of good will, it's patent on its face that it's true.

Really? You don't think that people at the macro level are the same?

The USA, UK and large parts of the world systematically raped, assaulted and enslaved people - indeed most of the world has when they have had a position of power.

If your position is that INDIVIDUAL people aren't like that - I would agree with you, but history has shown that people in masse will exploit other people when they can, and institutionally will allow it to happen.... whether that is the Middle East, Africa, North America or Eurasia.... it is what people have done, and when I hear people say "well we would never do that", I smile and think that simply isn't the case under different circumstances.

It is like Nazi Germany or during the African slave trade - I hear people say "Oh I would have stood up to the Nazi's" or "I would have been freeing black people left and right" - the reality is that most people would not and did not.
