Exactly right- in fact, I can tell you - this video shows beautiful new 2 million dollar homes -my business serves this area and is 10 minutes away from where I am I have 2 clients that moved in from another state - 1 just this year and the other moved last year - BOTH from California...They are snatching them up like candy because Well, I'm sure they could afford two or $3 million homes in Cali BUT there's just so much extra in a bad way that makes it a no go .. . . The fact is from crazy crime to crazy capital gains tax to crazy Big Mac prices and everything in between If the only good thing about California is the weather and scenery then it's really not worth it. You can go somewhere else.
A lot of this also is the fact that Tennessee is a very business friendly state unlike California/ As I mentioned before to you - you can make up to $100,000 a year as a LLC or sole proprietor business and only have to pay a $15 minimal tax license while California charges exponentially more and makes you jump thru complex legal hoops - and almost encourages petty theft seemingly. small businesses is what drives communities and woke leadership that makes it hard to do business don't get that some of my best paying customers are not in those $2 million houses from the Annecy subdivision in nolensville either but in modest duplex homes (based on profitability per minute) - The reason is people appreciate small business and they want to support it - it's unfortunate that a state like California can't get this concept
