Twins had more than twice the hits and showed a lot more life at the plate throughout the game. We looked stuck in the mud and seemed to have a hard time seeing the ball. It's sad that I didn't have any confidence we were gong to do anything after that double.
Ah finally lost a series to a team, a playoff bound one who has been hot lately too, for the first time in the past 3 weeks or so and the crazy takes start flying in again. Our two best hitters, two of the best in all of baseball, weren’t in the lineup. They will be back soon. We are getting Luis Garcia and likely Verlander back as well by the end of July. Bloss should be back even sooner. I have no doubt the team will add at least one solid piece at the deadline too, whether pitching or another bat. It sucks we lost but get a grip people.
You’re not wrong about expectations and I also don’t recall where they set up but I just felt that the play there and sure enough Peña flies out…..
It sure looks like Tampa Bay and Toronto will be sellers with their performances against Seattle and Texas. Maybe the Rangers too if they don't get back into the race.
Because he's the weakest hitter in the lineup and his spot was up first? They also ended up double switching Chas for Cabbage in the 9th so had the game gone to extras, they could have possibly left Hader in for another inning. While it is always dangerous to have two catchers in the lineup, losing the DH wouldn't have impacted anything unless the game goes to 11-12 innings (or unless Diaz is calling for Hader to throw pitches right down the middle... doubtful).
Did you expect us to never lose a series again? You’re acting like the Twins are some scrub ass team. They are 27-18 at Target field. There’s nothing to see. We are getting back a ton of help in the upcoming days/weeks while the Ms are getting pretty much no one back because they are healthy. Their offense is going to continue to suck. We will win this division.
That stupid rule that every major league team must be represented in the all star game likely cost Blanco a nod. They picked Anderson from the Angels, who is having a solid season, but certainly not better than Blanco.
Who gives a **** how good the Twins are at Target Field? I don't give a **** dude. Lol. WIN THE ****ING SERIES. We're supposed to be good too, and we blew it.
Just realized Hader gave up a grand slam homerun and recorded a save. That can't have happened too many times in the history of baseball.
