I’ve said it before and I’ll say again…. I really feel like Jabari could be the second offense option on the team because I think you can generate a lot of efficient offense with him… I’m not saying he’s going to create for others but just himself. More touches in the post, more touches at the elbow, either turn around or a face up jumper. His rookie year he was really efficient at dribbling up and taking the three off the bounce in semi-transition and I would like to see more of that. Fold that into 7-8 3 pt attempts per game. He will generate 1-2 looks off of offensive rebounds. That can be 15 shots a game.
I will admit, I'm a sucker for his turn around fade away jumper. Not an early clock shot as it isn't too efficient of a shot, but that is something he can get off even with the clock running down.
I think it’s possible he might be lifting weights and we just haven’t seen it on social media, but I’m 50 so it’s possible I’m wrong about social media.
The explosion on those takes looks bad. Wrist barely over rim when its suppose to be a jam. Dude was already told to lift weights to turn his game around and he won't do it.
Yep. He isn’t a particularly flexible or creative person with the ball, but he just has a lot of shots that he can get to that are easy and will ultimately be efficient.
Jabari entered this summer completely dissatisfied with where he is as a player. I think he was developing just fine, but it's nice to see him setting such a high bar for himself. Being in that select team environment will help him understand what others do to be great. I'm sure Udoka will be there with him and Amen just like he was for Green last summer.
I think Jabari needs more opportunities in the offense, too many games last season he'd start off hot like 5/5 from field in first quarter and then just never touch the ball again for 2 quarters. Never made much sense. With opportunity I think he can be a star. He needs to be involved in more off ball plays and post up a few more times per game.
Of all the young players the Rockets have, I think Jabari will be the first to get traded, or he will leave the team.
Potential? That’s the problem. Bancheros has became a FRANCHISE PLAYER, Chet is DPOY NOMINEE….what is Jabari? Jabari needs to play SMALL FORWARD like Michael Porter Jr….he needs to provide perimeter defense, shoot 40% at the three point line and be our legit #3 Star…on our championship team. Jabari is too small to play power forward, he is getting pushed around too much in the paint and he does not block shots at all. He needs to play like Michael Porter Jr of the Nuggets or Lauri Markannen of Utah because he is a better defender than both of those guys. Jabari needs to shoot 40% from the 3 point line this season, no excuses….do not want to hear…welll, he’s only 19 or 20 years old….HE IS FINALLY 21 years old…let’s go Jabari
