what part of this economic landscape you don;t understand

    • growing GDP
    • since taking office, 41 consecutive months of avg job creation of > 100K
      • ~14 millions jobs create since being hired
    • unemployment near historic lows
    • declining inflation for the past 18 months ,
      • from 9% to the current 3 - 4% range?

as compared to convicted felon, the only POTUS to have realized a net loss in job creation during his 4 years in office

Someone will try and gaslight us and tell us they haven't.

The other 20% must be in prison, stationed abroad or Jeff Bezos/Lucille Bluth rich where they don't notice.

No lie, mine haven't. I actually spend way less, but that is primarily due to getting divorced and my ex-wife buying crap I never would. My normal stuff hasn't gone up much. But I do only buy things on sale. I don't buy things if I don't like the price. Insurance & Utility costs are something I have felt. Fast Food I've also noticed, but I don't eat much of it.

I sure hope tax cuts for the top 1%, more extremist federal judges, more trade wars and prosecuting his political enemies will lower inflation!

… and maybe if we are all lucky we will have Dictator Trump for life!

Whoever is POTUS next will still have to deal with the aftermath of Covid.

We do know that Trump has no plan to fix inflation.

And we also know that Trump when given a real crisis had a severe leadership failure.

I for one would never like to see Trump in crisis mode again.

On my end. Mt first home purchase in 1993 I paid 8.6%

My next home purchase in 2010 I think was low 6's

My last home purchase during covid I was able to get a VA loan for 3.45%

I would hate to lose my current APR but the house we bought in Albany, NY was purchased for 372,000 is now valued at almost 445,000. there is trade off there.

Youth is not passing on houses because of interest rates. they are passing because its easier to just stay home and utilize all of the trappings of a fully running home offer. Food, AC, cable and more.

I was an idiot growing up smoked and snorted away a full ride track scholarship to Stephen F. Austin. when I got home the first thing my parents said was you have 6 months to find a new place to live. I was at the Air Force Recruiter the following Monday.
Tough love changed my life forever.

PS I think my parents paid like 10.2% for financing on a house in the 70's

Once again, we were at war in Afghanistan. We are not currently at war, but we were then.

if only the RNC would be honest enough to provide an itemized list comparing the respective prices.
anything short of that is lying, just like Trump lying that
    • he had hired an expert to check on Obama's birth certificate
    • he had borrowed a million $ from his father to start his business career
      • it was revealed later, by his niece, that Trump was a trust fund baby having inherited > a million $ by age 8

Cost of home ownership highest since 2007: Research

    https://thehill.com/business/4753502-home-affordability-worsening-pandemic/

    excerpt:

Median-priced, single-family home and condo costs continue to be less affordable than in the past, according to a second quarter analysis released on Wednesday.

ATTOM, a firm that curates land, property and real estate data, culled housing information from 99 percent of U.S. counties and found the pandemic-era trend of high residential mortgage rates and elevated home prices hasn’t slowed.

ATTOM’s research also found that expenses on median-priced homes now take up about 35.1 percent of the average national wage — the highest since 2007. Experts generally set the guideline at about 28 percent on that figure.

The national median home price hit a record $360,000 during the spring. With mortgage rates coming in at about 7 percent, the cost of owning a home has outpaced recent increases in wages, according to the research.

“The latest affordability data presents a clear challenge for home buyers. While home prices are increasing and mortgage rates remain relatively high, these factors are making homes less affordable,” said ATTOM CEO Rob Barber said in the company’s analysis. “It’s common for these trends to intensify during the spring buying season when buyer demand increases. However, the trends this year are particularly challenging for house hunters, more so than at any point since the housing market boom began in 2012.”

    I

This is not a president created issue. This is a market issue

It says nothing about the economy

I don't know if Bidenomics is working for you but inflation has slowed and unemployment is.

When talking heads talk home sales, they talk buyers and sellers and sellers are sticking to their guns so the market is favoring them
