I like what Ime said about Reed.."For me, he has the effort, toughness, defense mentality, what they saw on film; his deflections, steals, always being in the right spot, that takes IQ" I mentioned that early before the draft..you have to have a feel for the game
Contrast this with the guy that said “Rookie of the year, allstar, all defense(lol), max contract”. I think I’m going to shed a tear, we survived to see this day. https://www.papercitymag.com/cultur...rockets-nba-draft-talent-tilman-fertitta/?amp
You know you don’t actually have to pit our players against each other, right? Why not just be excited about Reed? You’re going out of your way to take a shot at a Rocket player who isn’t even involved with this pressser or anything. Legitmately bizarre
Ime caught himself when he said that and added “for the most part”, which is true, for the most part.
Going from “Me me me” to finally “We we we” is just such a refreshing change of scenery that it was impossible not to notice.
People like you are why propaganda spreads so easily. Platitudes in post draft interviews move you. That says a lot about your proneness to grifters and propaganda.
Propaganda? I posted the link to his exact quote. And even if you don’t believe him, he plays like it, you cannot ever trust him making the right play, it’s 50/50 he’s going to run into a crowd and get blocked or turn it over. Anyways that’s rich coming from his head propagandist, it’s always the guilty ones that try to project on others. Btw when asked how do you see your career and “max contract” is part of your answer that absolutely does move me. It moved me the day he said it, and I’ve tried to be a blind homer fan and give him the benefit of the doubt but in the end he’s turned out exactly how I expected. From even before the draft I said Zach Lavine, and if he can work hard and improve some more he too can be an overpaid empty points guy that the next team tries to dump by packaging with a future first rounder.
Great indication that his game will translate to the nba. Biggest question is if he can physically hold up against bigger and more athletic nba athletes. Rockets got their answer with this.
No need to tear down one player to build another up. I love Reed's responses and he seems like a great guy, if his play matches the hype I'll be very pleased. Our core guys' games and personalities complement each other. As they develop we'll see if they can maximize thier talent, winning the championship is always the long-term goal to train for as he mentioned.
“Rookie of the Year, All-Star, All-Defense, max contract,” Green says someone asks what goals he has for his career. “We’re doing it big — so yeah.”
I think what I'm trying to say is going over your head. I'm saying being so easily impressed with post game interview platitudes and trying to make meaningful evaluations of their actual mindset is to me an indication of someone prone to charismatic propaganda.
He is so young, he is going to get bigger, stronger, even faster. Remember he is one year out of H.S. He is no dummy either. Smart guys learn fast.
