there is something to it, yes... His numbers came in higher leverage situations last season...
But at the end of the day, we need good play in meaningful games, and he was just not that good, despite the games being more meaningful...

Rudy Gobert was about to be put into the Spirit World! That was a career choice right there!

Amen has better measurables in terms of length. Has more strength also.

Green definitely is a more coordinated athlete with more agility.

A good example of the difference between the two is that Jalen would probably take half the time to master a new dance move with complex footwork compared to Amen. Amen is more robotic and stiff in his movements. Green has more of that "wiggle" and bend that smaller guards like AI of the past or Ja has today.

But make no mistake, the agility and explosion that Amen has at his height is generational. Hence why his defensive ceiling i believe is much higher than his offensive ceiling.

Yeah come back when Amen can actually do something with his athleticism. Amen makes Jalen look like Kyrie on offense, and Jalen can actually weaponise his athleticism (finally) in ways Amen can't even dream of right now.

Cmon lil bro you wont get me to be an asscheek fan. Amen is tough, but if you cant make a jump shot outside of 10 feet you will be limited in the NBA.

    He's really "efficient" though!

Ya this reconfirms that Green is another level of talent.

Most of Lavine's highlights are attacking open spaces and the simple one two dribble pull up that you see every guard in the league capable of doing. Not much advanced stuff beyond that.

While Green is splitting doubles, navigating between multiple defenders in tight set half court defenses etc.

Zach Lavine has never been double teamed in his whole life - EVER. That says it all.

The Jalen fluffers are putting in work today.... unfortunately their sacrifice of dignity in this manner doesn't make him a better player.

I'm sure Lavine has been doubled occasionally as any player as talented as Lavine on a hot shooting night is going to make defenses want to get the ball out of that person's hands.

But Lavine never showed the heights of what Green did in March until Lavine was over age 25.

Maybe. All I know is that Jalen Romande Green just finished an NBA season in the top 20 of most double teamed players. You dont double team scrubs.

Wait... what is this nonsense? Amen can't actually do anything with his athleticism? I don't mind Jalen fans raving about their boy and I do quite a bit push back against Jalen haters in the past three years. But you don't have to blindly stomp on a Rockets player just to prop your guy up.

Amen does a lot of things with his athleticism, probably more so than any of his teammates.

This comment isn't going to age well. Amen Thompson is for real.

Amen definitely has utilized his athleticism very well on defense and as a off ball cutter and off drive rebounder for a rookie. That's where he has shown the most as a rookie.

I think it's more accurate to say at least relative to Green he doesn't know how to use his athleticism as well as Green with things involving the ball in the hands. Green is far more skilled and coordinated with the ball in his hands than Amen and i doubt that will ever change.

There is a certain disjointedness with Amen with the ball. Like his jump shot for example looks like someone who never learned what the point of jumping is when shooting the ball. Like he was never taught shooting drills where you don't use your guide hand, don't jump and start from the paint. The coordination is lacking relative to Green.

What does aging have to do with anything? Did I make any declarations of the future at all? Regardless of what happens in the future that post is a statement of fact, as it only relates to the time it was made "aging" is just more nonsense to deflect from the fact you can't actually dispute it.

Yeah I'm talking about offense, I should've made that clear (I mean, I did post directly about offense but I guess that was confusing for multiple people.) Green uses his athleticism on offense like a world-beating finisher. Amen looks like bambi tried to run too soon.

On offense Amen is good at understanding where he needs to go and can make accurate quick reads as a short roller. His bball IQ is high in that sense.

But ya he sometimes looks rather clumsy when trying to do things with the ball in a set half court defense. He's fine in transition when defenders are back peddling.

Both Jalen and Amen will be better players than they were last season.
