This article lays it out for even the simple minded folks. Everything’s About to Get a Hell of a Lot More Expensive Due to Climate Change Intensifying hurricanes, floods, and heat waves are wreaking havoc across the US—and on everyone’s bank accounts. https://www.wired.com/story/everyth...f-a-lot-more-expensive-due-to-climate-change/
Major flooding here in the upper Midwest we’ve had a very wet June and May which affected planting and likely affect crop prices.
All the floods in the Midwest are not only going to drive up crop prices, but home and car insurance as well.
We have the earliest CAT 5 Atlantic hurricane ever and the Atlantic is still very warm. But yes let’s keep posting memes and making liberals.
It just shows how ignorant they are really. The same fools who don't believe in science believe Trump is smart too, which pretty much sums up their altered state of mind.
Like so many other issues they seem more Interested in “owning the libs” by focussing on Greta Thunberg or people throwing soup. I agree that many anti climate change protests are frankly stupid and counter productive. But that doesn’t mean that Climate Change isn’t happening. It’s happening. It’s happening along the Gulf coast. It’s happening in the Upper Midwest. It’s happening in the arctic.
Yep. It's happening whether they believe it or not. I agree with you on some of the stupid protests as well. There are always those far left climate protesters who do crazy stuff for attention and the far right types who spread their stupidity and making mockery of it all, but denial of science, and the fact that global warming is happening is just plain ignorant.
Why climate change makes a hurricane like Beryl more dangerous Beryl has already racked up multiple alarming superlatives. It is the most powerful hurricane ever recorded this early in the Atlantic hurricane season, and also the earliest storm to strengthen so rapidly as it formed. Beryl grew from a relatively weak tropical depression into a full-blown major hurricane in less than two days The water temperature in the tropical Atlantic is off the charts. It’s been in record-breaking territory for over a year, which means there’s a lot of extra heat available to fuel storms. https://www.npr.org/2024/07/04/nx-s1-5026730/hurricane-beryl-climate-change
Of course the earliest CAT 5 hurricane that is has already caused devastation and on course To strengthen again over a very warm gulf isn’t as important as what some dumb protesters did.
It's more fun for right wingers to dumb up, and not believe in reality. Science is too scary and hard to understand. The earth is flat! Space lasers cause fires! EV batteries and sharks!
Fellow "libs": Y'all know where I stand on climate stuff, after all these many quixotic posts of mine, but hear me out. We are having a bad couple of years and will have another one or two especially bad ones in 2025 and 26, but a non-trivial part of that is the freaking sun. Check this out, and scroll down to look at the Solar Flux graph in particular. Not only is the sun nearing the high point of its 11-year cycle, it's actually out-doing itself and doing so with bad timing for Earth's already warming atmosphere (and oceans). https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/solar-cycle-progression So in the 2028 election (if we still have elections, LOL), a milder year will be a rallying point for conservatives who want to keep denying human effects, but only b/c the sun will hopefully have calmed the hell down.
Pretty sure that whatever is happening on the sun has a bigger impact on our climate than whatever us little ants do.
