Trump is blabbing inchorently but he’s energetic which is the edge. I don’t think it is a complete disaster but Biden needed an knockout and instead he got tagged

After Thursdays debate performance if the Republicans were running a Romney, McCain, or even a Christie I might be switching my vote. They aren’t running anyone like that. At this an empty chair in the Oval Office might be better than who they are running.
yeah well . . . there's a bit more going on here than meets the eye Instead Of Banning Books, Idaho Library Decides To Ban Kids In Response To New Law On ‘Inappropriate Books’ https://www.techdirt.com/2024/05/24...n-response-to-new-law-on-inappropriate-books/
Word on The Street is that recent polling of today's youth show 1 in 10 know what a library is. Of those who know, 1 in 10 actually admit ever going to a library.
Let me shed a little tear ... Right-wing media's traffic nosedive: what happened? What Facebook and Google giveth, Facebook and Google taketh away. That seems to be a lesson from a report in Alternet revealing that far-right news and commentary websites like Breitbart, Daily Wire, The Blaze, National Review, Daily Caller, and the Federalist have seen traffic drop by as much as 95% since their glory days of the 2020 election cycle. For instance, The Federalist, which has a ridiculously large staff and was co-founded by Mr. Meghan McCain, saw its unique user count plummet from 3.3 million to 166,000. A 95% decline? Tis but a flesh wound. Breitbart, which was formerly run by the formerly un-incarcerated Steve Bannon, can boast that it saw a traffic drop of just 90% during the same period. Sick burn on The Federalist! But Breitbart doesn't hold a candle to the Washington Examiner, which experienced a year-over-year decline (compared to previous May) of a relatively paltry 72%. Time to pop the champagne corks over there! Overall, traffic to pro-Trump sites declined 40% over the past four years. Just the kind of news that'll make Ben Shapiro want to beat up his punching bag. Meanwhile, The New York Times saw a 10% increase during the same period. Just 10%? When I went to Trump University, I learned that 40% is twice as much as 10%.The NY Times is a loser! According to Alternet, these right-wing sites were cut off at the knees when Facebook tweaked its feed algorithm to favor posts from friends and family and and disfavor political posts. But fear not, as soon as Emperor Trump resumes his throne, he'll put a swift end to this censorship.
related https://jonathanturley.org/2024/07/...r-their-failure-to-disclose-bidens-infirmity/ Reporters Blame “Right-Wing Media” for Their Failure to Disclose Biden’s Infirmity by jonathanturley The media is sorry . . . sort of. After the shocking appearance of President Joe Biden in the presidential debate, the public has turned its attention to the press which has, again, buried a major scandal for years. According to CNN, the reporters at the White House are really, really sorry but explained that it was the “right-wing media” that prompted them to avoid the story. It is a telling admission that, yet again, reporters chose not to report on a story because they wanted to frame the news for political purposes. It is precisely the pattern that I discuss in my new book The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage where the media now rejects objectivity and neutrality as core values in journalism. For years, there have been questions about President Joe Biden’s mental and physical decline. Those concerns reached their apex when Special Counsel Robert Hur issued his report. While finding that Biden had unlawfully retained and mishandled classified material for decades, he concluded that prosecution would be difficult because a jury would be swayed by the appearance of an elderly man with declining memory. The media pounced and attacked Hur while media figures attested to the President’s acuity and ability. Then, as videos repeatedly surfaced showing the President confused and fragile, the media declared them “cheap fakes” and attacked Fox News and other outlets for airing them even though Fox noted that the clips were unedited. (For full disclosure, I am a Fox News analyst). Virtually every news outlet aired the attack with politicians, pundits, and celebrities attesting that the President was sharp and engaged. On MSNBC, Joe Scarborough stated “start your tape right now because I’m about to tell you the truth. And F— you if you can’t handle the truth. This version of Biden intellectually, analytically, is the best Biden ever. Not a close second. And I have known him for years…If it weren’t the truth I wouldn’t say it.” Then the presidential debate happened and, after years of being protected by staff, tens of millions of people watched the president struggle to stay focused and responsive. So, as an embarrassed press struggled to explain the most recent belated disclosure, the reason is the “right-wing press” and the need to counter their narratives. more at the link
Pretty ****ing sad that anyone in 2024 can be elevated when giving the message, "science is a pagan faith". Her real message is likely that when facts (given their liberal bias, doncha know) disagree with her political talking points the facts can be safely ignored. Candace Owens: "I'm not a Round Earther… science is a pagan faith" Candace Owens, worshipped by many people around the country for her expertise on dozens of topics, revealed another area of expertise this week. She reported that she has learned everything there is to know about geology and is now casting doubt on whether the world is round. On her video show, she said, "I'm not a flat earther. I'm not a round earther. Actually, what I am is I am somebody who has left the cult of science." "I have left the megachurch of science because what I have now realized is that science, what it is actually, if you think about it, is a pagan faith." What she doesn't say is that this pagan faith is what gives her the ability to broadcast her message to her throngs of followers. It also allows her to eat safe food, live in an air-conditioned home, fly around the world to spread her brilliance, and basically do everything that doesn't involve living in a pre-industrial, technologically primitive society. Let's take a look at some of Candace's other fields of expertise. In 2018, she showed off her historian credentials when she said, "If Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, OK, fine." In 2020, she put on her epidemiologist lab coat and revealed that COVID-19 was a hoax, declaring it to be the "most ridiculous scam in the entire world." In 2022, she hung her certificate in forensic pathology on her office wall when she said that George Floyd died from an overdose, debunking the official medical examiner's report, as well as video evidence that showed the contrary. She also has time to moonlight as a foreign policy analyst, proposing that the United States should invade Australia because it is a police state. And just a month ago, she overturned decades of scientific research and fossil evidence to reveal that the belief that dinosaurs roamed the Earth until a great big meteor hit it is an "absurd" concept. What's next for the incredible Candace Owens? Particle physics? Inventing a quantum computer? Zero-point energy devices? Time travel? Candace knows, but she's not ready to share it yet. She has to watch a few more Rumble videos before she can tell us.
I'm too lazy to do the math but if you look up the amount of links posted by @Os Trigonum - an man north of retirement age who, in contrast to some, claims not to be suffering from age related cognitive impairment - from those outlets on this here sacred BBS, you'd see a similar decline.
