An unfathomable ROI for anybody that bought a team back then.

Quick TF... buy the Celtics through some straw companies and force a trade

Tatum + Holiday + White + Hauser for FVV + Brooks + Landale + Tate

Then sell the Celtics for real & recoup your investment.

    Oh... that's a cu-razeee idea..... yeah, I think so 2

Wyc is a very smart man. He gets to sell high and cash in now, bask in the glow of this 3-4 year window and bow out from public view as it closes.

Smart af, cashing out at the highest point and leaving the future owner to deal with tax and second apron shenanigans.

But the buyer would know they're still on the hook for those massive salary. Will be interesting to see what the end market price will be.

Imagine LeBron trying to be a part of that ownership group. *shudders*.

They're just trying to scam the new owner. The new owner will have to pay the 2nd Apron and if they dont win a ring the fans will complain and get mad saying the old owner was better.

Fans always say they want an owner who doesnt meddle but if an owner doesnt meddle then that means he just sees the franchise as a money making scheme and he is not invested in the team. I knew there was something weird after they signed DWhite to 30M a year after getting Tatum and Brown on max deals and Porzingis and Jrue to near max deals as well. Turns out they are just pimping the team to sell it to some other dude.

Thats why I like Fertita as an owner you saw him there at the draft room talking to Reed Sheppard and his son is part of the front office. Theres little chance he will pump and dump the Rockets unless his businesses go belly up or something.

Nah, Ferntits is the bag holder to the "pump n dump." Les finally went over the cap that year and knew he had to pay CP3 with a wink wink trade.

It's just that it was always been tilfart's dream to own the Rockets, much like it would be for a handful of billionaires to own a 18 time world champion.

For them, it's a way to park money, watch it grow over a decade and be in an exclusive club.
