Metrics don't tell the correct story sometimes. They're were idiots here who actually said Sengun was our BEST defender at one point, we know that's utter stupidity

Teams target your worst defender on defense. Senguns targeted the most out of every player, which is why Ime went small so much. Sengun's defense has always been atrocious
Teams game plan to target the opposing center regardless of if they are good at defense or not. Because even the best defensive center is an easier matchup for the scoring guards than a 3 and D wing. sure you can say teams target Sengun but they do the same to every center in league. Teams target Jokic, even DPOY Gobert is getting targeted. That's just the nature of the nba nowadays. Sengun may not be best defender but he holds his own especially when compared to some of the other centers in the league.
