your intellectually dishonesty manifests itself. willfully ignoring Kamala's achievement---prosecuting the mortgage fraudster---which, in the process, made all the other state AGs look dumb/incompetent

Scoring high on a test doesn't automatically make you superior, which is exactly what you're implying. If you were so superior, why are you so gullible? Did you really need this debate to tell you this candidate is unfit for office?

Conservatives are full of flaws too, which is blatantly obvious with Trump.

I just can't comprehend how anyone would think its ok to elect a man with dementia to one of the most powerful offices in the world. You. Have. Choices!

I agree with you and here are my choices.

    (1) Vote for an old, somewhat compromised, decent human being, who shares a lot of my principles and policy values.
    (2) Vote for an old, somewhat compromised, immoral, break-nine-of-ten-commandments human being, who promotes policies I disagree with. (This candidate is not more coherent than #1 but even when he was vaguely coherent, was a vile, abusive POS.)
    (3) Vote for someone who will help aid and abet the election of #2. Because a cult-of-personality will be voting for option #2 and not accept that they have non-Trump options.

Those are the options -- we do have them. Somehow America, through media click-obsession and whatever else, has brought literally one of the worst citizens in our country back to brink of (now) absolute power. Any voter who agrees in principle would presumably vote option #1, even if the DNC replaced Joe with a sack of potatoes. Not remotely kidding.

    (1) No taxcuts, maybe some extension of the existing Treasury killing kind
    (2) Yes to new taxcuts, though your taxcuts serve as small reach around.
    (3) Burn it all down when said tax cuts can't pay day to day expenses for ****.

    Sizzle Chest,
I'm curious how you think someone who has been the obvious financial beneficiary of corruption (sending his son around with the world with his hand out), cheated on his wife with his babysitter, admitted to plagiarism, and weaponized the legal system against his political opponent is considered "decent". Joe Biden being "decent" is the biggest media con out there! The guy is a sleazebag -- he just has the full force of the media behind him.

Dementia is not something to play around with nor is it to be taken lightly. I am not playing partisan politics. Biden is being taken advantage of by his wife and son. They are effectively make his decisions. That is not democracy as much as everyone wants to prattle on about how awful Trump is. I dont understand why anyone thinks this is ok. Its absolutely not. And as much as I dislike Harris, Biden absolutely should step down immediately and hand the reigns over to Harris. This is the right thing to do. This is right up there with Trump doing absolutely nothing to stop Jan 6th.

When I say we have choices, what I mean is there are competent people who can run this country and are willing.

Trump is not a constitutional crisis. Biden is. The talk of Trump becoming supreme dictator, taking over the world, disbanding the government or starting WWIII are ignorant fantasies.

Currently we have one candidate who continues to push the bounds of his authority and we have another candidate who is completely absent ran by his narcissistic family and administration. Stop telling me this is ok. Its not. He is not somewhat compromised. He is fully compromised. Hand the Presidency to Harris now.

made me think of this piece from Josh Blackman last week . . . discusses his grandfather's dementia and includes a video at the end of his grandfather. Sad stuff.

I'll keep repeating this but, as much as I'd like Warnock to have a more national profile, he cannot vacate his Senate seat in a cycle that already favors Republicans. The DNC would be giving up a hard-won deep south seat to a Republican governor for the next four years.

Wes Moore is a strong African American VP candidate: low profile now, governor of Maryland, military experience, financial background.

Strictly speaking, he didn’t say superior. He was talking about intellect, which is far more specific.

The Republican Party is anti science, anti education, red states and red dominated rural areas rank lowest in any objective measure of education. And they don’t even want to improve. The low education is now intentional.

And the other party buys it's votes through the welfare state.
We could go back and forth all night long and both of us would be correct.

So long as you concede that the Republican Party is anti education, anti science, and intentionally stupid.

You can make the argument that the Democrats buy votes through welfare, and Republicans do not. The corollary is that Democrats actually attempt to help the poor and disadvantaged, whereas Republicans do not. That’s a good debate.

There is no debate that the Republican Party is anti education, anti science, and intentionally stupid.

And even if all of that was true the USSC has made it practically impossible to hold him legally to account.

Whitmer would be my first choice and I think that would be a very good ticket.

I’ll repeat again though only Biden can get Biden to step down. On who might replace him at this point is speculation. If Biden does step down there likely will be a contested convention also.
