We really should trade Chas for pitching 1. We need pitching depth BADLY 2. Espada isn't going to view Chas as an everyday player like other teams would. A trade would be good for both the Astros, and for Chas
It’s hard to know if any of your 3 points are true. The Astros might need pitching depth, but only if Brown/Blanco/Arrighetti/Framber cant keep pitching like they have all of June, and/or if JV/Garcia/McCullers don’t come back by the end of August healthy/productive, and/or if none of the minor league arms (Bloss, Blubaugh, Gusto, Lauer, etc.) can be expected to help. Espada might not view Chas as an everyday guy, but he might also just be easing him back from injury or balancing Chas’ playing time against other guys Espada also views as quality players. Other teams might view Chas as an everyday player, but we can’t know that. Looking around at other contending teams’ outfields, I don’t see any surefire teams that Chas fits onto unless another teams sees him as a CF who will hit like he did last season. Chas does represent a potential trade chip, assuming Houston likes Loperfido/Cabbage/Leon whoever as much or more than him, and assuming there really are teams out there who will pony up good value for him. For now I think Loperfido is much more likely to be traded than Chas.
You don't usually argue just to argue lol, but come on man. We have a bullpen game tomorrow and will either have another one 5 days later, or will be throwing the without a doubt ready Bloss back out there? The opposite is actually true. We MIGHT have Garcia and/or McCullers back to help out soon, and MAYBE Bloss/Blubaugh/Gusto/Lauer LOL are going to be solid and steady starters for us, but reality is any team counting on those guys at this point of a season where you are fighting like hell to get into the playoff race....Needs pitching depth Chas is 10 for his last 34 and 6 of those 10 were for extra bases, he sat Wednesday and the team was off Thursday, he was pulled after 2 at bats last night....he isn't sitting today so "Espada can ease him back in" lol And it's absolutely 100% fine if you prefer Big Jon over Chas, but let's not pretend Chas is worn down from the tough week and needs to be eased in lol
Pitching sucked last night. Or rather, Blanco sucked. Yet, he might not have sucked if Bregman makes a ****ing play for once. We'll be lucky to take one this series. Offense also blew hardcore.
Read an article where Tucker is frustrated how long this is taking. My guess...may be another 2 weeks.
Wouldn't it be horrible if he came back and fouled another one off the same spot. He gets pitched inside quite a bit. Good luck Tucker.
He had actually been hit in almost the exact same spot just a day or two before Of all the star type players we have though, he has been about as durable as any
