I understand this is your first rodeo in politics and if you dig deep enough, you will find people literally state this over a x1000 here ... We use the electoral collage, not popular vote.
Its very complicated. There is the legal side and then there is game theory on how to win. If Biden steps down, there is going to be legal recourse. If DNC replaces Biden, the Democrats will revolt. (I am hoping this happens). Democrats have been playing stupid games. The SCOTUS ruling on Colorado Trump ballot issue can be interpreted that Biden must remain on the ballot if the people voted for it in the primaries. This could lead to multiple democrat candidates on the ballot. If the DNC replaces Biden w/out him stepping down, then the DNC is acknowledging Biden is unfit for office. This also could open up lawsuits for any legislative he has signed into law. The best path forward is to leave everything as is. Biden and his supporters (and there are many here who claimed Biden was perfectly fine) made a terrible mistake putting him up for reelection. They should have pulled him in March. I also stated if Biden is still running by summer, its going to create a massive problem if the DNC tries to replace him. Ultimately this comes down to fundamental beliefs. Republicans/conservatives like to believe in law and order (forget Trump for a moment) and the democrats effectively believe in equity of outcome. Rules be damned, this is the right thing to do. Sometimes it works. This time it isn't. There is no sympathy for the democrat party.
Nobody has seriously proposed replacing Biden without him stepping down. This whole discussion is based on the idea that people will convince him to voluntarily stepping down. He has claimed that he won't be doing that.

I am not going to disagree with you much has disintegrated since the Obama era. This is stretching into other belief structures, such as Todays LIberals Are Tomorrows Democrats or The Means Justify The Ends. The average conservative pulls from law and order where as progressives dismisses what they see unfairness in law and order. This isn't settled science as anyone can interject an unhinged flywheel like Trump into the mix. But ultimately what I am saying is the Republicans are going to come full force with the law and order, regardless if its hypocritical.
lol ok. Look, I am not stating Biden is definitely going to get involuntarily replaced. What I will say is the wolves are absolutely circling the wounded prey. Simply take a look at CNN's debate wrap up. I would have never imagined that outcome. And we all know how the liberals absolutely love to be sanctimonious and eat their own.
I'm not denying there are plenty wanting him to drop out. That's why I mentioned people convincing him. They can show him the video so that he sees what everyone else saw and how it comes off. They can explain how if fewer Biden voters show up because of his age issue, it hurts every single down-ballot race for Democrats. They can explain that if big donations stop or slow because of his performance that also hurts everyone. But ultimately they won't and most likely can't force him from the nomination.
