I’d stay the course with this group for at least another full season. It took a lot of losing to get Green, Sengun, Jabari, Amen, Whitmore and now Sheppard on the roster. That needs a chance to keep developing.

I think we have the right coach and the right GM. Also love our vets in Adams, Fred, and uncle Jeff. Those are good voices in the locker room.

Have some faith in what we’ve started building and you might not need to trade in for a “star” because there’s potentially 2 or 3 of them on the roster already…

We have to give less minutes to our older guys this year - unless there is injury, there is no reason why Sengun, Jalen, Jabari, Cam, Amen, Reed, Tari, and AJ Griffin shouldn't be the top 9 in minutes. We gotta start paying those guys which means its time to take the training wheels off and start seeing what these guys can do night in and night out so we can decide who to extend and who to trade....and some of those guys ARE going to get traded. I think it's a fair certainty that one of the guys above gets package with Brooks and picks and is traded for another star in the next calendar year.

This always depended on cost to me. Would you get out of Dillon Brooks contract and one of their picks back?

Feels like the 2014 Astros. Now we just need a cheating scheme and it’s title #3

They can pay him as much as just about any team - they have the full NT-MLE to work with for that last roster spot.

That's not saying they will pay him that much, just that they have up to that amount to offer to the guy who fills that 15th roster spot.

perhaps the Rockets should’ve made a run at Dejounte Murray with how cheap he was able to be acquired

Great news, Nate was a very bright spot for that 3rd stringer group. He hustled every time he was on the court, went after rebounds and just got things done.

    N'Faly Dante ---------- 6'11"
    Boban Marjanovic -- 7'4"

    15 Regular Contracts / 2 2-way Contracts

I am really liking this team and we know the Rockets aren't done making improvements as they still have the Full MLE, so this isn't the final roster going into the season.

I haven't been this excited about Rockets ball in a decade. Love the youth, height, athleticism and skill sets these guys have. TONS of switchable players, the combinations of guys who can play together in different roles is truly remarkable. Looking up and down that roster, everyone can play and I mean make an impact. Of course, we don't know yet about Dante, but I have a feeling he'll be productive.

I really wanted Jalen traded and Hield brought in and still kinda do but not feeling as strongly about it now that we have Sheppard.

    Last 10 Games of 2023 - 2024
    MIN - Green - 32.6 / Hield - 20.5
    PTS - Green - 18.3 / Hield - 10.9
    FG% - Green - 39.0 / Hield - 43.7
    3P% - Green - 28.2 / Hield - 40.0
    FT% - Green - 77.5 / Hield - 91.7
    REB - Green - 5.8 / Hield - 3.3
    AST - Green - 4.6 / Hield - 1.5
    BLK - Green - 0.2 / Hield - 0.3
    STL - Green - 0.9 / Hield - 0.7
    PF - Green - 1.8 / Hield - 1.8
    TO - Green - 3.2 / Hield - 1.2
    AGE - Green - 22 / Hield - 31

I guess I could be more patient with Green. He's 9 years younger but the shooting percentages really are atrocious.

Probably to be used in a trade. There are literally no minutes for him anymore

We have to include FVV and filler to match durants contract. I guess you could send Dillon, Adams, Tate, and landale, then there would be an extreme roster crunch the suns would have to deal with and we wouldn’t have a backup center. I’m assuming the rockets don’t want to trade Jalen in the deal and he wouldn’t fit the suns roster anyway. I think it would take a third team to get Durant to the rockets and Jalen would probably have to be included.

Lauri is one of the few players I’d give a lot of assets towards in a trade.

I have this sneaky suspicion that the Rockets FO puts out these feelers for trades and free agents then comes onto this message board to check the water before making a decision.

Confirmed: PG, Durant and Zion OUT

Saw that this morning (re: Lauri)

I like Lauri. But do the Rockets think he’s that star? Or an upgrade over Jabari (or what Jabari could become).

After seeing what Bridges just went for (and what he got for Rudy), you know Danny is licking his lips.

27 years old, going into the final year of his deal (making just $18M)

Think you’d have to surrender most, if not all, of the picks you just got and Jabari (or Sengun). Can you justify the cost?

OKC and SA can go get him easily.

    Jazz are owners of:
    2025 CLE 1st
    2025 MIN 1st
    2026 MIN/or/CLE 1st (swap)
    2026 CLE 1st
    2027 LAL 1st
    2027 MIN 1st
    2028 CLE 1st (swap)
    2029 CLE 1st
    2029 MIN 1st

    And they owe OKC a 2025 1st

Firm believer that you only give out your future #1 picks for players you can build around and players that are final missing pieces. He is neither for us.
