Agree with the general sentiment but Trump isn't an anarchist in the political ideology sense... In the colloquial sense ya.... He's chaotric

But politically anarchism is about not having social hierarchies and Donald Trump in that sense is the opposite of an anarchist as he very well believes in a social and economic hierarchy. Hence why anarchism has deep leftist roots.

You just found out the media and DNC have been lying to you for years about Biden's mental acuity and you are mad they didn't interject themselves into the debate more? You aren't mad that you have no idea who has been running this country for years? You aren't mad that you basically had no primary and are stuck with this corpse for a candidate?

As for debate formats, the hosts shouldn't try to tell the audience what is and isn't true. Off the top of my head, the hosts didn't interject when Biden claimed:

    - no troops died under his watch
    - the border patrol union endorses him
    - the 'very fine people' hoax
    - Biden's son died in Iraq

It was correct for the hosts not to step in. Let the audience figure out for themselves what is true or not. The hosts can lie or get things wrong just like the candidates.

You need someone who can call Trump out for his BS. Kamala came off too relaxed during the 2020 primary debates. Doesn't have that fire. She may be fine for the job, but she's not a good fit to be the actual candidate.

Just googled definitions for both chaos and anarchy. Definitions very similar. In fact ararchy was listed as the first synonym for chaos.

Trump had 30 false or misleading claims while Biden had 9..................

Trump made more than 30 false claims at the Thursday debate. They included numerous claims that CNN and others have already debunked during the current presidential campaign or prior.

Trump’s repeat falsehoods included his assertions that some Democratic-led states allow babies to be executed after birth, that every legal scholar and everybody in general wanted Roe v. Wade overturned, that there were no terror attacks during his presidency, that Iran didn’t fund terror groups during his presidency, that the US has provided more aid to Ukraine than Europe has, that Biden for years referred to Black people as “super predators,” that Biden is planning to quadruple people’s taxes, that then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi turned down 10,000 National Guard troops for the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, that Americans don’t pay the cost of his tariffs on China and other countries, that Europe accepts no American cars, that he is the president who got the Veterans Choice program through Congress, and that fraud marred the results of the 2020 election.

Trump also added some new false claims, such as his assertions that the US currently has its biggest budget deficit and its biggest trade deficit with China. Both records actually occurred under Trump.

Biden made at least nine false or misleading claims in the debate. He used false numbers while describing two of his key Medicare policies, falsely claimed that no US troops had been killed on his watch, repeated his usual misleading figure about billionaires’ tax rates, baselessly claimed that Trump wants to eliminate Social Security, falsely said that the unemployment rate was 15% when he took office, inaccurately said that the Border Patrol union had endorsed him before clarifying that he was talking about agents’ support for the border bill he had backed, and exaggerated Trump’s 2020 comments about the possibility of treating Covid-19 by injecting disinfectant.

    according to CNN......

you need to be babysat and told what's true and what's not.

Took me all of five minutes to look and see this CNN 'fact check' is bullshit. you really proved my point about why hosts should not be fact checkers in a debate.

u have no idea what ur talking about.

Reagan won as the President of the Screen Actors Guild, when he as a registered Dem

then he decided to run for the Calif Gov against a popular 2-term incumbent, a fellow Dem Pat Brown, Jerry Brown's father. he was smart enough to distinguished himself by changing his party affiliation. Reagan, the first time politictian, beat the favorite

again, you have no idea what ur talking about.

he was from the wrong side of the track in a small town in Ill, His father was the town drunk, a bum. he was smart/resourceful enough to have graduated from college.
he then became a sports broadcaster and an actor. having lived in both sides of the track, he did know how society works.

Reminds me of people getting all butthurt about "foreign interference in our election" - as if that hasn't existed all along. As if it's some new thing that started in 2016 with Russians.

Do people really think foreign countries/foreign services haven't been financing disinformation campaigns to influence elections or public sentiment in their favor in foreign countries all throughout modern history? Get a grip.

People are going to exposed to the untruths, exaggerations, half-truths, out right lies etc etc and it's incumbent upon them to look into things and figure out what's real and draw their own conclusions. That's always been the case. Crying about it is pathetic.

Nope. He was stupid. The privilege of being tall, handsome and white can often mask the lack of intellectual curiosity.

He didn't understand how society functions for humans outside his social class. And why would he need to? That lack of understanding doesn't prevent one from rising the social ladder.

When I say he has charisma that is what I'm referring to. His ability to navigate social circles. That isn't him being a vigorous reader of history or political philosophy or cultures foreign to him.

You don't have to say I don't know what I'm talking about. You can just say we have a different perspective on what "intelligence" means. For me it's intellectual curiosity. A desire to learn about humans that aren't like you. A desire to understand how policies shape the lives of people that you don't associate with...

Nah. You just seen easily impressed with a suburban middle class upbringing resulting in a sports broadcasting career? His dad was actually pretty based from my understanding. Don't know how Reagan ended up being an *******.

Your definition of intelligence heavily involved concepts like advancement career wise in media and entertainment

    Mine involves intellectual curiosity.

When did I say any of this?

    Now do Trump.

This is absurd. The Fourth Estate's primary responsibility is providing facts to the public.

By the way, I thought the moderators were completely impartial. I liked the format, except that I think they could have stepped in maybe a bit more when their questions were completely ignored. They shouldn't be fact checkers but when someone totally ignores their question, I think they should have a right to step in.

I remember he was very unpopular. Not sure he was also stupid (it's been so many years). But fine - in any case, I think she really should not be President. She just seems a bit dumb.

Im certain this has more to do with her gender and race. I see no reason to believe even prime Biden is "more intelligent" than Harris.

She seems rather average in the intelligence department. Her issue is a lack of charisma.

And yes she's far more intelligent than Trump.
