idk... r u in Houston? I know when I lived there in the 80s there was all kinds of talk about this music or that music being 'the Devil's work,,, etc...' lol... now im an agnostic long hair heavy metal stoner type - so it aint nothin to me... but jus seems like typical religious holier than thou rhetoric... so im leaning a bit more 'virtue signaling' than cray cray - lol... heck... after Harden... maybe that locker room could use a lil religion... lol
I think his motor's been in question since high school, so I'm sure the Rockets knew about that even during the draft. If it's gotten worse, then that's probably not a great thing. At worst you get rid of him or he rides the bench for end-of-game minutes.
For the old folks - get a silk purse out of a sow's ear... or trying to polish a turd into a diamond. lol. J.R. just being a Debbie Downer.
Okay, so he has some issues. The Rockets have tons of experience with guys with issues. I’m hoping for the best. Be well.
One of my top 3 busts prediction from the 2022 draft... such an anonymous player. However, good gamble by the Rockets. Minimum risk trading the 44th pick, and if they don't get anything out of him, can use his salary as trade filler. ...But the story about his 2yr old nephew drowning at their family home last summer, them blaming it on Satan, and other religious craziness is a huge red flag.
First of all AG already showed he belongs in the NBA, averaged 10 pts shooting 39% from 3 and grabbed 4 rebs at only 19 yrs old. Secondly we're not expecting him to be as good as Tari Eason. As long as he can stick on the roster Rox already benefitted from the deal as majority of 44th picks are out of the league once their rookie deal is up. Third, I doubt Rox are gonna be players in 2025 unless they trade a lot of the young guys. JG/Sengun extensions will already wipe off the capspace I doubt 6M makes a material difference either way.
First off, couldn't agree more about AJ...great deal. But, I wouldn't rush the day on a jG extension....We're gonna see moves...
I feel like there was more upside left on the board that we could have gambled on than trading for AJ Griffin who isn’t all that good.
Same, but the vet leaadership isn't too bad. You've got VanVleet, Brooks, Adams and Green. Thise guys are all hard-working professionals who care about the game.
imo griffin at least has nba talent, but needs to get his head sorted out.. while maybe only 2-3 of these 2nd round draftees have the talent to ever stick in the league
Yeah its always worked out for us in the past. Still wearing my Royce White and Kevin Porter Jr jerseys on the regular.
