Personality goes a long way. If a guy who makes crazy money (Bonds?) is an aloof jackass then I suppose that could happen. I never heard anything about that wrt Abreu. The "consummate professional".
Abreu himself probably wasn't bringing anyone down. However, the awkwardness of his prolonged death spiral may have taken its toll on the clubhouse environment. Would only be natural. They are playing better now and seem to be having fun. Draw your own conclusions, I guess.
Great job d-riding Nook's post after already responding by saying "you didn't know about Abreu". Salsa Police strikes again.
Uh....what part of "I never heard anything about that..." is totally befuddling to you? You're a strange, strange dude. ...and that's OK, it takes all kinds.
Started drinking there at about 14 when it was still closet sized. Try the Chicken Fajita Queso Philly.
Standard beef is always good Philly Chicken, no pickles, ranch on the side. Put a bit of ranch and hot sauce on it, it's glorious.
He's the one who turned me on to that place. Same with Warren's downtown. He was a football/wrestler and after his knee blew out a Key Club kid back in the mid/late 90's
