I was told by a couple of Hawks fans last year that his motivation is highly volatile. Doesn’t give 100% all the time. Some KPJ or Royce White vibes going on there. Bad defender thus far. If you look at his highlights, a crazy portion of his makes are just bad or unnecessarily difficult shots. Hawks are not dumping him for the #44 pick if there are not significant issues with him. They are re-tooling and could use such a player. Still, a 20 yr old shooter for a second round pick? I’ll take a flyer. We needed a kind of 3rd string PF to replace Uncle Jeff, maybe he can be that. Could surprise us if he connects with Udoka. Great deal by Stone.
2021 - #2 - Jalen Green 2021 - #16 - Alperen Sengun 2022 - #3 - Jabari Smith Jr. 2022 - #16 - AJ Griffin 2022 - #17 - Tari Eason 2023 - #4 - Amen Thompson 2023 - #20 - Cam Whitmore 2024 - #3 - Reed Sheppard Top That for youth rest of the NBA!
He only counts as a shooter if he actually plays. But sure, what the hell, I wasn't invested in #44 anyway.
They're saying that when Snyder took over as coach, he looked past Griffin in favor of vets. Who knows?
Reed Sheppard will teach him how to shoot again On the other hand, Ime must be screaming at Stones that I want more vets and not another 20 year old.
meh... trade one scratch off ticket for another... id rather be going after known commodities - to go with all our young talent... but whatevs...
I like this move by stone .. which probably means it will backfire somehow good buy low move . Has shown strong potential
