I still want them to draft Chomche. At only 18 he is bound to grow more. Plus he currently can stretch the floor shooting 37% from 3. That can only get better. With Hakeems training and the right kind of work ethic he has the potential to be a greater Giannis.

I think these are all very valid concerns. I think he's a definite risk to take that high in a normal draft, but this was an unusual class, and his potential upside is worth taking a chance on. It would not surprise me if it ends up being a mistake, but this team needs reliable outside shooting SO BAD I'm willing to risk it.

No doubt, I saw that a year ago before
free agency when I said bring me Seth Curry, Cam Johnson, Naz Reid, among others.

This year I said Tyus Jones, Malik Beasley,
Malik Monk (gone), ........give me McDermott
who I know what he can do defensively.
    Jalen Smith.

This is why I said VanVleet and Dillon Brooks with their contracts blocked others. Both our kids progressing and better fits from free agency
    sliding right in seamlessly.

Green needs to fire his trainer and get a new one.

    What?

Sheppard played a lot of point guard for Kentucky down the stretch and he was good at it. He is a strong passer and good decision maker. It is also reflected in his assist to turnover ratio and assist percentage.

Teams will attack him by putting bigger bodies on him? Good - he actually plays well against size. It is the smaller and ultra quick guards that he has more issues with.

Udoka will lose patience with him defensively? Based on what exactly? Sheppard is already very good off ball, he is excellent at anticipation and switching. He made some mistakes on ball but not more than anyone other than Shead or Carter.

Have you seen Jalen Green? Holiday? If Udoka can deal with them defensively, then he can deal with Sheppard.

He should be more developed in his skill set by this point of his career.

He needs a new program and he needs new people to help him execute it.

This season is an important one for him when it comes to whether he will be an all-star level player or a long-term role player.

What he has done the last three or four years hasn't been good enough.

Is this based on shooting splits or watching his game?

I've seen improve ts in how his handle works in traffic between multiple defenders. I've seen his off the dribble shot look more squared and balanced. I see a lot more craftiness in finishing at the rim. I'm seeing a lot more ability to absorb contact against elite defenders like Golbert and finish. A lot more defensive effort which quite frankly is probably the biggest reason for the stagnation in shooting splits. Putting that much effort in both sides of the court is probably.rhenfiedt time for him at the NBA level.

He has been in the NBA for three years. "three or four years"? It's pretty clear how many years he played.

This season his scoring efficiency numbers didn't improve but pretty much all his advanced analytics like BPM, RAPTOR, VORP are career highs.

So you are saying he will body up in the post well vs Big Boys. I'll call you out on that if he doesn't.

And I know he can't handle most point guards in the league.

What was your call on TyTy Washington? Were you one of the fools that told me he would be good?

Did you convince management to draft him in the first round? I immediately said that was a
    wasted first round pick.

*In his splits he started 5 games and lost 4 of them......and his 3P% dropped to 42%. Indicator that
pros are going to kick his @$$.......20% winning percentage sucks and starters outplay him
or control him. Guarantee you teams stagger substitutions to pit a starter against him
    in many cases.

    We'll see if you're right.

Jalen Green has defended NBA players.

Why are they so certain n about Reed? You have him the benefit of the doubt compared to even draft day Green. It's just personal bias?

The Durant thing seemed to have died down with the Suns's owner claiming they are in love, but I think that message put the ball in Durant's court to end the relationship. Something similar happened in Brooklyn, IIRC. If Durant wants out, he will have to request a trade again. Probably won't happen, just saying.

The way Nook is gassing him up I'll be disappointed if he doesn't become a Marcus Smart with a Steph Curry jump shot and CP3 like PG abilities.

Is that a reasonable expectation for Reed @Nook ?
