They should have added a 3rd round if they were going to make this thing 2 nights. I mean there's no reason to add a 3rd round but there's no reason to have this draft over 2 nights either.
So many gems fell in the 2nd round. Fillipowski, Johnny Furphy, Jamal Schead, Comche, Bona. I honestly think Rox should buy in and get more picks at the top or mid.
Topic to the Thunder is pretty huge. OKC is having itself an excellent off-season, unfortunately. Minny swooping in and trading for Dillingham was a smart move. And although Castle is a great selection, I feel better that the Spurs "only" got him. Memphis missed out on Clingan, but Edey was probably a good consolation prize. And Clingan on Portland will probably look pretty terrible for a few seasons, just because that team is young and discombobulated. But I think he'll work out in the long term.
It's hard to envision Flip making it all the way down to us, but then I didn't see him dropping as far as he has, so who knows? I would definitely pursue one of the early 2nd round picks and try to snag him if I were Stoney.
RS has a strudy base, despite his short height and wingspan. He will get better on defense without losing his speed, but it will take time. @ApacheWarrior
Yeah I thought San Antonio would be more aggressive. But good for the Rockets, I guess. Dillingham is going fit right in with the Wolves, too.
Grinding 82 games Teams will be targeting him by putting bigger bodies to lean on him No accountants or grocery sackers is this league Many around here will give up on him playing PG in the first year. Want him to be SG predominantly......that's where I say, "you should have drafted a 6'6" SG for 3&D to begin with." _________________ I'm not sure Udoka has the patience to wait on Sheppard defensively Patrick Fertitta and his micro ball BS. Seems like we can never get away from it. Especially with national media and so called experts pushing it on us to handcuff our favorite team. _______________
I missed that move. And they got this guy by parting with a bunch of second-round picks that they probably had no room for anyways SMH.
Besides height and length he is the ideal player to pair with other Rocket players. In my opinion the definition of a player that will enhance the team as a whole with shooting making his teammates better versions of themselves. The Rockets are about to go on one hell of a run for a long long time. I am hoping to see some minutes from this lineup by the end of the year. Reed Shep Jalen Green Cam Whitmore Amen Thompson Jabari Smith jr Shooting for days with Amen and Green driving.
I think Rockets should move up if possible and pick up Filipowski. Get some length and shooting for the bench on the cheap.
Btw the biggest winner for me are the Wizards and by a wide margin. They were so slick I looked it up and seems they got new people in charge after the Poole fiasco. They got Sarr who was touted as the consensus top 1 before gambling sites got intel Risacher was gonna be the pick. Sarr was no 1 on majority of draft boards. They trades Avdija for 2 picks and 2 swaps including the 14th pick. Excuse me? Deni is an upcoming FA too, Wizards got out of paying him and got a mix of current and future assets for him. They got Bub Carrington, big bodied solid pg and Malcom Brogdon who can either be their starter or flipped for more assets. Or both.
Wizards also got the best player in the deal in Brogdon, but Deni could surpass him soon with as much as he improved last season.
As they should be. That was a dumb trade. I can't think of many positives for it, it's so far away it might as well not matter and they gave it up for a solid prospect and they are a team that NEEDS prospects and assets. I'm not really sure what the plan is there, Minny is kind of a young team and have an elite player on their team in Ant that will likely prevent that pick from ever being worth much. I really don't understand why they did that but if Dillingham turns out to even be a starting level player that trade will look just downright stupid.
