So you have Amen, Tari and Cam all playing somewhere between 12-18 minutes per game? And you have Adams behind Landale in the rotation. Those are interesting choices.
He is extremely young. Comes from a basketball family. Heady player. Can jump thru the roof and shoot lights out. Our on CC, the male version. I am preparing "I told you so" posts to use later.
Surely this time when we draft the best shooter in the draft ... he will end up being the best shooter in the draft
I was trying to use the 2nd game against the Spurs last year to project a good minutes rotation for the core 7 plus the oldies. It's going to be tough. I wouldn't mind if all the starters played an average of exactly 30 minutes. Cam/ Eason/ Amen can then average around 20 minutes each, leaving 12 minutes for Reed. That's what Amen was getting before the ankle sprain. In reality though, Cam could get 1 minute playing time and end up 5/8 from the field. Someone should do the minutes splits
Sounds about right. Stone didn't want to get Banchero'd again. Reed always made the most sense for us from a talent and need standpoint.
If that shooting translates… Plus he’s a very good athlete and can play D. His measurables aren’t impressive but I have a good feeling about this kid.
FVV 26/Amen 12/Reed 10 Green 28/Reed 10/Cam 10 Brooks 26/Cam 12/Amen 10 Jabari 24/Tari 24 Sengun 30/Adams 18 But yeah, I would move Brooks to free up minutes.
Stone's comments about Shep being only guy that focused on and would have traded out if he wasn't there gives me renewed confidence in our front office. I'm processing last night's trade, but I understand his rationale. It's a gamble, but it may truly be a brilliant move. Like others, I was really excited about next year's draft, but we have accumulated some great young talent that we need to see what we have these next 2 years. These are definitely exciting times for our team. I'm enjoying the ride for sure.
