I said they were weeks ago and I got flamed here. It’s stupid but they’ve been telling us for months now they are desperate and a bit delusional. Don’t flame me as well when you hear the Rockets are also pursuing Zion and Embiid. Obviously Stone thinks he’s getting fired if he doesn’t get a big name for Tillman so they can have a name for their marketing, and get a few nationally televised games. Only reason to do a star trade right now is if you can get 2 stars at the same time, and you are banking it all at that point on two stars that very likely could be injured half of the remainder of theirs careers if not more. At the time I thought the Kawhi/PG summer deals were a can’t miss win for the Clippers and we see now in hindsight that even that one has mixed results due to injury issues with older stars. Just all around wreaks of desperation and a GM who thinks he’s getting fired in a year if he doesn’t do something big now.
The pattern continues. Tillman wants another big name star player. It seems like Tillmans pushy personality got him super rich but I don’t know if it’s the right approach in the NBA.
Time to evacuate to Katy to get away from KD First thing I'd do if I became a dumb billionaire owner of the Rockets...2 stars at the same time,
I think we end up with PG13. I think he'll be a much better veteran for our guys with how much he is talking about them on his podcast. Also think he'll demand less and be much more flexible with his role as the kids get better
In related news: Rockets traded two future 2nd round picks to France for a wheel of cheese and a case of wine in hopes of luring Wemby and Gobert to Houston.
Kevin Durant. Hes also following Rockets players and recently some Texans and some Houston rappers. Hes the ultimate troll.
If they dont do a blockbuster trade before season starts does this mean you get fired? You cant keep claiming Stone is delusional to make a trade, keep being wrong, and then jump out more than a season later when it finally happens screaming "I told you so".
Kinda like the Brook Lopez fiasco... If I'm a betting man, I'd say nothing else happens or at most a minor trade. I think they stand pat with what they have now.
I would only love Durant if the rockets would be able get ride of Brooks and picks or even jabari and picks .there is no way u can trade sengun..only way I would package sengun would be for like 2 elite elite young players But windy must have sources saying that about sengun..
There are only a handful of players that would make sense for the rockets to trade for and none of them are over 30. None of those players are currently known to be on the market. This trade is about keeping the young core and increasing future flexibility/optionality. Don’t pay attention to the click bait headlines.
Please no to this - just be patient and pray that none of our main rotation guys get hurt. Don’t trade guys like Sengun, Whitmore, Eason, etc to get someone who is old and is always hurt.
