We got a top 3 pick already, have waaaay too much young talent already so I like kicking the can on high end draft picks here.

We also came out ahead in overall assets.

Why would we give up 2 of those juicy Nets picks for 36ish year old Durant?

This is such a smart deal for us. Gives the Nets further incentive to tank which boosts the value of the swaps we have with them. Meanwhile, those Suns picks look very promising.

My thinking is if you want KD trading the Nets pick to the Suns would be more valuable than trading them their own pick back...

This smells like Tillman not wanting anymore high draft picked players... smh.

Those Suns picks really look like they have some nice value.

Their big3 didn't work so well this year, and Durant isn't getting any younger, and they can't really make any moves, and don't really have much in the way of picks to make a difference.

Worst case, the Suns are amazing the next 2 years. By then Durants arm will fall off - and we've just done what we did with this years BKN pick in terms of spreading out the potential for them to fail over a longer period to try and jag ourselves a nice pick.

This is so f*cking weird. Bridges goes to the Knicks and we punt our Brooklyn picks for Phoenix picks at the exact time Brooklyn is set to tank. Like... okay?! Do we think Brooklyn is going to have turned it around by 2026?

Has Stone got someone else on the line who wants a Phoenix's future first rather than the Nets? Would the Clippers like that sort of asset?

Shams says the Rockets gave up the 2025 OKC->BKN swap, one the most valuable assets in the league.

Yep, Rockets still have no idea what they’re doing.

Would much rather have the nets 25 swap. That could turn out to be Cooper Flagg

Giving up the 2025 swap is about as dumb as it gets. Moronic from Stone and Tilman. I guess they want to ruin the rebuild after all.
