Remember people protesting abortion, COVID lockdowns and "stolen elections" are all good people who are "hGostages" targeted by a brutal police state.

BLM, Gaza, and Climate Change protesters are trouble makers who deserved to be treated harshly including being run over or thrown off bridges.

The one thing we know about commodore... everything he posts here is disinformation. It gets pointed out to him constantly but he doesn't care... he is here only to post disinformation. So treat his posts accordingly.

Its a shame... there is a need for valid discussion from the conservatives. Unfortunately, No one here seems willing to present the conservative view without resorting to disinformation and clickbait.

    https://baynews9.com/fl/tampa/polit...sound-off-on-florida-s-six-week-abortion-law-

Lauren Miller learned she was pregnant with twins in July 2022 but later found out one of the twins had severe abnormalities, with no chance to survive. Because of Texas’ strict abortion laws, she had to leave the state for an abortion.

“Despite the risk to myself, despite the risk to our healthy twin, all any doctors, nurses or genetic counselors could say was every day that I continued the twin pregnancy, our unviable twin put his healthy brother and myself at greater risk,” Miller said. “And that’s the end of health care in Texas these days.”

After receiving an abortion in Colorado, Miller later gave birth to the viable twin. But, she says leaving Texas to get abortion care cost thousands of dollars, versus a $50 co-pay.

“It still haunts me. This is still something that I wake up a year and a half later with nightmares of being hunted and losing my son because of how physically and psychologically traumatic this experience is now, because you’re just trying to save your life and you feel like you’re doing something wrong for that,” Miller said.

Texas abortion ban linked to 13% increase in infant and newborn deaths
“This might foreshadow what is happening in other states,” said Johns Hopkins public health researcher Alison Gemmill. “Texas is basically a year ahead.”

A Texas law that banned abortions in early pregnancy is associated with a stark increase in infant and newborn deaths, a study published Monday in JAMA Pediatrics found.

The new study compared infant death rates in Texas from 2018 to 2022 to those of 28 other states. Infant deaths in Texas rose by nearly 13% the year after SB8 was passed, from 1,985 in 2021 to 2,240 in 2022. During that same period, infant deaths rose by about 2% nationwide. Babies born with congenital anomalies also increased in Texas, by nearly 23%, but decreased by about 3% nationwide.

“This is pointing to a causal effect of the policy; we didn’t see this increase in infant deaths in other states,” said Alison Gemmill, assistant professor of population, family and reproductive Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, who led the research.

There were more than 1 million abortions in the US in 2023, the highest rate in more than a decade and a 10% jump from 2020, according to a report released Tuesday by the Guttmacher Institute, a research and policy organization focused on sexual and reproductive health that supports abortion rights. The latest trends also suggest that medication abortion is a more common option than ever.

Two years after Roe was overturned and a slew of new abortion bans were enacted, abortion rates went up, not down.

The best ways to reduce abortion without infringing on the basic human and medical rights of families are to reduce unwanted pregnancies through education, contraception, support, etc.

Bringing back the Ten Commandments won't achieve any of that.

In the same year 2022, there were 9800 fewer abortions in Texas. So if 9800 fewer died from abortion, but 265 more died shortly after birth, that looks like a net 9,535 babies saved in 1 year by the Texas abortion law.
