that is the best case for sengun, but not for the rockets the warriors championships were built on the fact that curry had ankle injuries and it lowered his value , allowing them to sign him but retain cap space . Then of course curry got over the issues
Yeah I don't think there was supposed to be any concern of long term effects. Just that dude trying to wish something into existence so I had to try and put out some positive vibes to counteract it haha
What is wrong with you? Seriously though, do you not see how broken a person you have to be to wish that somebody had a harder recovery from injury so the sports team you support can underpay him? You've definitely never had any sports or similar injuries, either that or you're just a proper bell end.
im just saying I’m worried about his recovery Of course I want him to come back strong . But there is an organizational upside if it takes him a bit of time
Clingan is probably the safest pick among the mentioned top guys. I'm extremely confident he'll be really good at what he's supposed to do. However unless he has magically pulls a 3 ball out of his pocket, his ceiling seems so low. For any fan base it's really hard to accept a role player this high in the draft. They will always want the dream of a star.
I believe this is the case and the reason I want Atlanta to take Clingan to limit Stones options to keep him from making the mistake of letting Sheppard fall to the Spurs.
I don't get how his ceiling is low. It may not be as high as Sarr due to 2-way game, but Clingan's ceiling is being the anchor on the best defense in the league even if one of the players is someone like Mitchell.
Never forget when Stone used Iko (and someone else) to leak that the plan was to start Bruno freaking Fernando over Sengun. To leak it - and to get applause for it at the same time.
If he cant switch at all I don’t want to take him #3. I just don’t believe in taking that kind of archetype that early. But ever since I found out that he and Sengun share the same agent, I’ve been super skeptical that we would actually draft him. Yes if we thought he was a potential franchise player it might not matter, but I don’t see that in Clingan. Agreed all the Clingan talk is about maximizing trade offers.
Dude just came off winning back-to-back NCAA Championships. I don't think anyone is putting up smokescreens. The dude is enormous and a talented defensive player, passer and roller. He's going high because he's valued.
Good idea I made a similar thread about the same thing but I think Atl wants Risacher since they already have Capela and Okongwu. Atl drafts Sarr Wash drafts Clingan Houston drafts Risacher then trade him to Atl for a future 1st https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/what-if-this-happened.323488/unread
