This is exactly like the Jabari situation. A bunch of suckers on Magic forums fall in love with Jabari, call him #1 player. A bunch of suckers on Hawks forums keep on telling themselves Sarr is the only one in his tier, #1 prospect in this class, strong concensus. On draft day, Magic drafts the real #1 prospect in Paolo. On draft day, Hawks are gonna draft the real #1 prospect in IRS. Prepare to cry people. We ain't getting Reed. He is the only prospect worth drafting this year at #1. We'll probably get Sarr or Clingan and draft a upgraded Wiseman/Kessler.
Well, hopefully he turns out to be a hell of a player down the road, one of our best shooters, and a great pick in a "weak" draft if we take him.
You literally just wrote you think he's going to take over from FVV as the starting PG after this season. The kid has no ****ing chance, y'all are putting expectations way above and beyond both his skill and experience levels. He's played as a SG his entire basketball life but now he's going to take over full time starter duties at the point for a team not looking to tank? You seem to think I'm looking at the Curry and similar comps and thinking that's why y'all will turn on him. In truth, this is a player who most drafts likely wouldn't even be a lottery pick and would probably consider himself super lucky to even have a JJ Redick career. Considering the standards y'all wanna hold our current players to, this kid is ****ED with this fanbase.
I hope for massive trades on draft day, that's way more interesting than regurgitating about the same players.
Nah bro, Reed is generational, it's all a big plot to hide him from everybody else so ATL can blow up with a top 5 shooter for the next 10 years starting from day 1. Everybody's in on it, they only marked him as a 4 star recruit in highschool to throw us all off now. Coach Cal deliberately played him off the bench as a mostly spot up shooter who can't create just to fool y'all into not rooting for the next Steph Curry with Nash's passing, CP3's State Farm commercials and an even MORE LETHAL SHOT!
lol, I have kept up with every thread about Reed and or the draft. The only people calling him a generational player or the next Curry are the ones like you who are extrapolating comments stating he displayed generational shooting ability in college (an actual fact) and that he gets his shots off quickly like Curry to mean that he will be the next "Curry".
I am sorry you have not taken the time to do a deep dive on Reed Sheppard. He is much more than an undersized shooting guard and in fact was playing point much of the time at Kentucky. He led the team in assist. I will also point out this team does not need a point guard like a Chris Paul when we have Alpi and Amen. A lot of the offense will come from the post. We need players with high b-ball IQ that can pass and more importantly shoot well. Reed Sheppard does both VERY well. You really ought to take the time to do a deep dive on the guy so you will know what you are talking about.
You are the one who needs to reread the threads because you are doing a LOT of extrapolating of people to comments to twist them into something more than they really are.
Could be worse, I could have literally nothing to say but ad hominem attacks (look it up, I know US education is actually horrendous) and logical fallacies.
