Confession by projection. It's clear why you are scared.... but Sheppard is FVV's replacement, not Jalen's.

    Jalen's replacement is Cam.

So have no fear, Sheppard isn't a threat to the object of your affection, so you can stop the shtick

I could never bring it up as much as yall bring up that 50 something percent 3pt shot. Or as much as I hear that generational player nonsense. Which is like in every sentence mentioning Reed. Also, I'm just as much of an expert on here as you or anyone else. I keep bringing that stuff up because he will face way, way worse opposition than a possibly undrafted Jack Gohlke and the last thing you want is for your generational Superman to shrink under all those bright lights. Neither him nor Dillingham belong in the top 6.

If he's a complete and total failure like Jalen? Probably.

The odds of that are very low, Sheppard's floor should be above what we've gotten from Jalen.

It's actually comical, somehow analytics god Reed Sheppard manages to intersect the top two overperforming groups in this study too?

It almost feels like he's cheating at this point.

I get your reasoning to a point, but it's a bit ridiculous to discount shooting percentages that haven't been seen in decades. Nobody faces the same level of talent as the NBA in college. Nobody! There are lots on here who believe that certain skills get better as a player matures, especially with NBA coaching and experience.

You act like everyone expects him to be the best shooter in the NBA from day one. You act like everyone here doesn't expect most college players to go through a bit of a learning process in the NBA. Many believe he is worth picking at #3 because he consistently shot so high that it's hard to ignore when your team is a bottom tier 3 PT shooting team. He doesn't have to be a superstar to make us contenders.

Nobody has called Sheppard a "generational player". Get out of here with that BS. He did exhibit generational shooting abilities in college. That is what has been said about him and it just happens to be a fact. Trying to extrapolate that to people calling him a generational player is pure bullcrap.

Only if he is a complete bust and he has the least bust potential of anyone in this draft. Any player who is a bust would get roasted here as they should. Nobody expects him to be the next Curry although he does have the potential to be a special player if he reaches his full potential. If he never becomes "special" and is just a good rotational player, nobody will hold that against him.

Move back closer to the end of the lottery to draft a player they have in the same tier as whoever is available at #3?

Stone thinks he can pull off a Sam Presti and draft a Jalen Williams who’s better than #3 pick Jabari?

I love Shep but as we get close to the draft, I just get the feeling Clingan will be the bigger impact player. Really, I just want both.

Reed should autograph the balls that end up in the stands after his shot gets blocked and let the fans/customers keep them........a commercial maybe for the NBA and Wilson?........The Fertitta's bet on this to bring pub..............could be really fun since he will be covered because Amen can't get any prayers.........

That is why I hope Atlanta takes Clingan and Washington takes Sarr. Those two would be the main targets to move up for. If they are gone it would probably limit the offers Stone receives although there could very well be someone who wants to move up to take Sheppard.

Too many of them. They are my only way to participate in draft talks. Without Reed Sheppard threads the draft would be what it actually is. Weak.

Assuming Risacher/Sarr are top 2 picks, if we don't like Sheppard or Clingan at #3 it makes a lot of sense to trade back, especially if we can pick up an unprotected 1st. Obviously, I'd rather just draft Shep.

In the late lottery Cody Williams, Topic, and Devin Carter are very intriguing. If Holland drops, he would be a good value pick in the late lottery - I'm hoping he can somewhat improve his shooting (although I wouldn't bet on it). Hollinger has him #1 on his board btw. Holland with good shooting percentages would be the #1 pick in this draft, but I guess you can say that about a lot of players.

That is boulderdash!! I have read many times here where people have called him a generational player. Some even called him the next Steph Curry. If you were to go through these Reed threads you would find all kinds of nonsense about him being the next this or the greatest that. All of which are setting him up to fail.

love the idea of grabbing Cody, Topic or Carter in the late lotto, but there’s a good chance they are off the board depending on how late in the lotto we are talking about. I get that Holland has a lot of upside but really don’t like the idea of drafting another non-shooting wing. I get that he’s value in the late lotto of this draft though. Carrington is another guy to consider in the late lotto.

Still, I hope the rockets dont get too cute and just take Reed at #3. I’d hate to see him in black and silver.
