Supposedly this was built in phases between 3100 BC and 1600BC in phases, how in the hell did they get those rocks on top of the pillars. The pillars weigh 25 tons....was engineering that sophisticated 2-3000 years before Jesus was born?

So, not trying to be a paint nerd, but those vivid flourescent DayGlo pigments are extremely modern. They couldn't have made anything remotely colored like that 2000 years ago. They couldn't even have made anything that looked like that 100 years ago. Specifically Celts on the British Isles would have had an extremely limited palate of colors. Much more limited than even the Romans, who sourced pigments from all over their huge empire.
