And when that doesn't happen by July 26 or so his ass better be on the phone taking trade offers left and right.
WTF do you guys want Brown to say. He says he believes in the team- bad He says we need to play better - bad He says we're in the market- bad He says we're not in the market - bad He has to answer media questions, and yes even everybodies favorite deity Luhnow answered media questions. The team is playing poorly, mostly with players he had no significant imput on. Maybe he should just go the Biggio and Bagwell route of never actually saying anything, while still technically talking.
If this team gets healthy nobody will want to see them in a playoff series. The problem is the team is very mediocre until everyone gets healthy. I just read the quote by Brown and understood it as "if we are within 5 at the deadline we are going for it. If not they will consider selling"
If the Astros go 8-2 vs CHW, NYM, Col, and Mia Then they only need to go 7-6 vs Bal, TOR, Min, and Tex leading up to the ASB to get to .500.
I'm not sure why anyone listens to Dana anyway He either isn't in the loop, or he is the biggest liar i've consistently listened to lol
Much better chance of going 7-6 vs that group than 8-2 vs the first one. We are already 0-1 and facing the leagues best starter tonight
I wonder how many of those wins started with a 3+ run lead before the bullpen laid some <enter poop emoji>
Bullpen is generally considered a scapegoat in bad record in close games. Astros bullpen era’s from guys that pitch: Hader- 3.86 Martinez- 2.17 Scott- 1.77 Abreu- 2.8 Montero- 3.72 Presley- 5.0. Presley the only one with an era + below 100. It’s not even bad bullpen- it’s bad timing as well.
