I wonder how much profits those teams made overall. Especially Warriors and Clippers. Insane how much those two spent. Not willing to go over luxury tax might be a bad sign of ownership, but if you are saying that - you as a team or owner cant win without paying 200 mill luxury tax, thats just as bad if not worse.
I think the Warriors are profitable, despite that lux tax (!!) Per Forbes their revenue was north of $750mill with EBITDA $79M ( https://www.forbes.com/teams/golden-state-warriors/ ) - those figures from Oct 23 and possibly represent a best guess scenario

I wonder if “Operating Income” includes Luxury Tax. If not, then that would makes us #1 once you hit NY/LA with their tax.
Monk would be a nice fit--one of the guys on my shortlist--but what would that mean about the draft? Not going to be any minutes for a guard if Monk comes on over. Or, could it mean we're trading Jalen? Questions, questions. (His tweet probably means nothing...?)
Monk would easily command our full NT-MLE, right? So up to 4 years/53 mil or so? I'd do it in a heartbeat. He'd be a fantastic fit. But I thought I read reports that he was protected to sign near 100 million? Just seems like a stretch absent a sign-and-trade.
Here's my 2024 moves: Draft - Reed Sheppard Trade - Jalen Green, Brooks, Adams, Tate, #44 pick to Detroit for Jalen Duren, Ausar Thompson Free Agency - Sign Buddy Hield 2024 - 2025 Team PG - VanVleet / Sheppard SG - Hield / Whitmore SF - Amen Thompson / Ausar Thompson PF - Smith / Eason ..C - Sengun / Duren / Landale There, I did your job for you Stone, just execute it.
Monk is a good player. It’s got to be a sign and trade. Maybe we aren’t giving up a ton because Sac doesn’t want to lose him for nothing. They can’t pay him.
Not directly Rockets-related, but I think this is a great segment. If/when we get to the playoffs (let's get there first I know lol) I hope our young team can learn from training themselves physically and have a mental vision of playoff success to prepare like Garnett is describing the Wolves need to. You can't cheat experience many times, but you can prep yourself to make the future challenge easier.
The Kings can offer him a max deal at $20m paper, but other teams with space can actually go higher than that. Whether you think he’s worth it or not, he has enough options that he’s not coming here.
What are we supposed to do with Monk? Been wanting someone like Monk but that relegates the 3rd pick rookie, whoever that is, to like the 11th spot on the roster. Alpi/ Aquaman/ Aussie Jabari/Eason/Amen Brooks/Eason/Amen Green/ Monk/Cam Fvv/Amen
Jalen Green and filler for Isaac, draft Sheppard Van-Vleet / Sheppard Brooks / Whitmore Eason / Thompson Isaac / Smith Sengun / Adams That’s a run it down your throat ball club if I’ve seen one
